Claims

Abstract

Based on the detailed reproduction control information defining the reproduction control state of data to be transmitted, the CPU 12 of the data transmission apparatus creates a simplified reproduction control information roughly defining the reproduction control state of the data, stores the simplified reproduction control information of the data in the packet header of a data packet carrying the data, stores the detailed reproduction control information in the data, and transmits the simplified reproduction control information and the detailed reproduction control information as well as the data to the data receiving apparatus 20 through the transmission channel 30 from the input-output interface 16 . The CPU 22 of the data receiving apparatus 20 analyses the reproduction control state of the data contained in the data packet based on the simplified reproduction information and the detailed reproduction information contained in the data packet, and controls the reproduction of the data by the action of the media access part 26 according to the analysis result.

1 . A data processing system comprising:
 the first data processing apparatus having a setting means that sets the first reproduction control information showing the reproduction control state of data and the second reproduction control information showing the reproduction control state of said data set in greater detail than said first reproduction control information and an output means that outputs said first reproduction control information, said second reproduction control information and said data; and   the second data processing apparatus having an input means that inputs the first reproduction control information showing the reproduction control state of data and the second reproduction control information showing the reproduction control state of said data set in greater detail than said first reproduction control information and said data and a controlling means of reproduction that determines the reproduction control state of said data based on said first reproduction control information and second reproduction control information inputted by said input means and controls the reproduction of said data according to the determination result.   
     
     
         2 . The data processing system according to  claim 1 , further comprising the third data processing apparatus having an input means that inputs the first reproduction control information showing the reproduction control state of data, the second reproduction control information defining the reproduction control state of said data in greater detail than said first reproduction control data and said data, and a controlling means of reproduction that determines the reproduction control state of said data based only on said first reproduction control information among said first reproduction control information and said second reproduction control information inputted by said input means, and controls the reproduction of said data according to the determination result. 
     
     
         3 . The data processing system according to  claim 1  wherein said setting means in said first data processing apparatus sets the first reproduction control information based on the detailed reproduction state of data constituting said second reproduction control information.

The data processing system according to  claim 1  wherein said output means in said first data processing apparatus stores said first reproduction control information in the header section of transmission signals, stores said second reproduction control information and said data in said header section of a transmission signal and thus creates transmission signals which will be then outputted.

The data processing system according to  claim 1  wherein said input means in said second data processing apparatus stores receives said first reproduction control information stored in the header section of a transmission signal and said second reproduction control information and data stored in the data section of said transmission signals and inputs said first reproduction control information, said second reproduction control information and said data. 
     
     
         6 . The data processing system according to  claim 1  wherein said reproduction control means in said second data processing apparatus renews the reproduction control state of reproducible data according to said determination result to control the reproduction of said data. 
     
     
         7 . The data processing system according to  claim 2  wherein said input means in said third data processing apparatus receives said first reproduction control information stored in the header section of a transmission signal and said second reproduction control information and said data stored in the data section of said transmission signal and inputs said first reproduction control information and said second reproduction control information and said data. 
     
     
         8 . The data processing system according to  claim 2  wherein said reproduction control means in said third data processing apparatus renews the reproduction control state of reproducible data according to said determination result to control the reproduction of said data. 
     
     
         9 . A data processing apparatus according to  claim 1  wherein said first reproduction control information is information showing one of a plurality of reproduction control states and said second reproduction control information is information showing one of a larger number of reproduction control states than the reproduction control states shown by said first reproduction control information, and each of the reproduction control states indicated by said second reproduction control information is linked with any one of the reproduction control states shown by said first reproduction control information. 
     
     
         10 . A data processing method comprising the steps of:
 creating the second reproduction control information defining more roughly the reproduction control state than said first reproduction control information based on the first reproduction control information defining the reproduction control state of data to be transmitted;   storing said second reproduction control information of said data in the packet header of said data packet carrying said data and storing said first reproduction control information in said data; and   transmitting simultaneously said first reproduction control information and second reproduction control information as well as said data.   
     
     
         11 . The data processing method according to  claim 10  wherein said first reproduction control information is information showing one of a plurality of reproduction control states and said second reproduction control information is information showing one of a larger number of reproduction control states than the reproduction control states shown by said first reproduction control information, and each of the reproduction control states indicated by said second reproduction control information is linked with one of the reproduction control states shown by said first reproduction control information. 
     
     
         12 . A data processing apparatus comprising:
 a setting means that sets the first reproduction control information showing the reproduction control state of data and the second reproduction control information showing said data set in greater detail than said first reproduction control information; and   an output means that outputs said first reproduction control information, said second reproduction control means and said data.   
     
     
         13 . The data processing apparatus according to  claim 12  wherein said setting means sets said first reproduction control information of data of data based on said second reproduction control information constituting detailed reproduction control state of data. 
     
     
         14 . The data processing apparatus according to  claim 12  wherein said output means stores said first reproduction control information in the header section of transmission signals and said second reproduction control information and said data in the data section of said transmission signals to create transmission signals and to output the same. 
     
     
         15 . The data processing apparatus according to  claim 12  wherein said first reproduction control information is information showing one of a plurality of reproduction control states and said second reproduction control information is information showing one of a larger number of reproduction control states than the reproduction control states shown by said first reproduction control information, and each of the reproduction control states indicated by said second reproduction control information is linked with one of the reproduction control states shown by said first reproduction control information. 
     
     
         16 . A data processing apparatus comprising:
 an input means that inputs the first reproduction control information showing the reproduction control state of data, the second reproduction control information showing the reproduction control state of said data set in greater detail than said first reproduction control information and said data; and   a reproduction control means that determines the reproduction control state of said data based on said first reproduction control information and said second reproduction control information inputted by said input means and controls the reproduction of said data according to the determination result.   
     
     
         17 . The data processing apparatus according to  claim 16  wherein said input means receives said first reproduction control information stored in the header section of transmission signals and said second reproduction control information and said data stored in the data section of said transmission signals and inputs said first reproduction control information and said second reproduction control information and said data. 
     
     
         18 . The data processing apparatus according to  claim 16  wherein said reproduction control means renews the reproduction control state for reproducible data according to said determination result and controls the reproduction of said data.

The data processing apparatus according to  claim 16  wherein said first reproduction control information is information showing one of a plurality of reproduction control states and said second reproduction control information is information showing one of a larger number of reproduction control states than the reproduction control states shown by said first reproduction control information, and each of the reproduction control states indicated by said second reproduction control information is linked with one of the reproduction control states shown by said first reproduction control information. 
     
     
         20 . A data processing apparatus comprising:
 an input means that inputs the first reproduction control information showing the reproduction control state of data, the second reproduction control information defining the reproduction control state of said data in greater detail than said first reproduction control information and said data; and   a reproduction control means that determines the reproduction control state of said data based only on said first reproduction control information among said first reproduction control information and said second reproduction control information inputted by said input means and controls and controls the reproduction of said data according to the determination result.

The data processing apparatus according to  claim 20  wherein said input means receives said first reproduction control information stored in the header section of transmission signals and said second reproduction control information and said data stored in the data section of said transmission signals and inputs said first reproduction control information and said second reproduction control information and said data. 
     
     
         22 . The data processing apparatus according to  claim 20  wherein said reproduction control means renews the reproduction control states for reproducible data according to said determination result and controls the reproduction of said data.

The data processing apparatus according to  claim 20  wherein said first reproduction control information is information showing one of a plurality of reproduction control states and said second reproduction control information is information showing one of a larger number of reproduction control states than the reproduction control states shown by said first reproduction control information, and each of the reproduction control states indicated by said second reproduction control information is linked with one of the reproduction control states shown by said first reproduction control information. 
     
     
         24 . Information signal processed by a data processing apparatus that records data, said information signal comprising:
 the first reproduction control information showing the reproduction control state of data;   the second reproduction control information showing the reproduction control state of said data set in greater detail than said first reproduction control information; and   said data proper.
