Abstract
A gunholder to accommodate a handgun within and to allow a user to support the gunholder with two hands is disclosed. The gunholder includes a front section having a trigger guard chamber to receive a trigger guard of the gun. The gunholder additionally includes a rear section pivotally attached to the front section through a hinge mechanism. The gunholder additionally includes a locking mechanism to lock the front section and the rear section in an aligned position.

1 . A gunholder to accommodate a handgun within and to allow a user to support the gunholder with two hands, comprising:
a front section comprising a trigger guard chamber to fittedly receive a trigger guard of the gun; a rear section pivotally attached to said front section through a hinge mechanism; and a locking mechanism to lock said front section and said rear section in an aligned position.
2 . The gunholder of claim 1 wherein said locking mechanism comprises a removable pin.
3 . The gunholder of claim 2 wherein said locking mechanism comprises a locking slot in said front section or said rear section.
4 . The gunholder of claim 3 wherein said locking mechanism comprises a locking insert in said front section or said rear section and in fittedly insertable in said locking slot.
5 . The gunholder of claim 1 wherein said trigger guard chamber comprises a clamping mechanism to exert pressure on said trigger guard.
6 . The gunholder of claim 1 wherein said clamping mechanism comprises an eccentric clamp.
7 . The gunholder of claim 1 wherein said front section comprises a magnetic material.
8 . The gunholder of claim 1 wherein said front section comprises a recoil barrel.
9 . The gunholder of claim 1 wherein said front section comprises an internal cavity to accommodate the handgun.
