Abstract
The present invention discloses a lid 1 for closing a drinking cup, wherein the lid 1 includes a drinking straw 7 and an opening 8 for direct mouth drinking. The repartitioning between a first part 2 a of the lid 1 used for the straw 7 and a second part 2 b used for the opening 8 for mouth drinking is preferably 2:1 when expressed in surface area of a base portion 2 of the lid 1. A first and a second cavity 6 a , 6 b , in which the straw 7 and the opening 8 for mouth drinking are respectively contained, are formed and sealed in the first and second part 2 a , 2 b of the lid 1, respectively, by a first cover 5 to one side of the lid 1, and by a second cover 11 and third cover 13, respectively, to the other side of the lid 1.

a base portion for attaching the lid to the drinking cup, wherein the base portion comprises or is provided with a circumferential side wall, and with a transversal wall for separating the base portion into a first part and a second part; and a first cover attached at least to the circumferential side wall for forming a first cavity between the first part of the base portion and the first cover, and a second cavity between the second part of the base portion and the first cover; and wherein the first cavity contains a drinking straw and the second cavity contains an opening for mouth drinking.
2 . The lid according to claim 1 , wherein an area ratio of the first part to the second part of the base portion is larger than 1:1.
3 . The lid according to claim 1 , wherein the first cover is an adhesive membrane.
4 . The lid according to claim 1 , wherein the first cover is removable and re-attachable.
5 . The lid according to claim 1 , wherein the first cover is printable.
6 . The lid according to claim 1 , wherein the first cover is precut into two sections so that a first section forms the first cavity and a second section forms the second cavity, and both sections are attached to the transversal wall.
7 . The lid according to claim 6 , wherein each section of the first cover is provided with a protruding element for removing the respective section from the side wall.
8 . The lid according to claim 1 , wherein the lid is securable to the drinking cup by a tamper-evident closure.
9 . The lid according to claim 1 , wherein the drinking straw is a folded drinking straw.
10 . The lid according to claim 1 , wherein in the first part the base portion has a straw opening for fittingly inserting the drinking straw.
11 . The lid according to claim 10 , wherein the straw opening is sealed with a second cover, and the drinking straw has a first end that is shaped for perforating the second cover.
12 . The lid according to claim 10 , wherein the drinking Straw is positioned with its first end just above the second cover.
13 . The lid according to claim 1 , wherein the second cavity contains a structure for mouth drinking that includes the mouth drinking opening.
14 . The lid according to claim 1 , wherein the mouth drinking opening is sealed with a third cover which can be peeled off.
15 . A drinking device, comprising:
a cup for holding a drinkable liquid or semi-liquid product; and a lid according to claim 1 attached to and closing the cup.
16 . The lid according to claim 2 , wherein an area ratio of the first part to the second part of the base portion is 2:1.
17 . The lid according to claim 9 , wherein the folded drinking straw is made of plastic.
18 . The lid according to claim 11 , wherein the second cover is an aluminum membrane.
19 . The lid according to claim 14 , wherein the third cover is an aluminum membrane.
