Video Mouthpiece Apparatus and Method of Making Same

Abstract

A mount and method of manufacturing same is disclosed. The mount includes a mouthpiece for holding the mount in a user's mouth, a video connector piece for mounting a camera to the apparatus, and a connector that structurally secures the mouthpiece and the video connector piece. This provides for a near eye-level point of view while providing hands-free operation.

1 . An apparatus comprising:
 a mouthpiece for holding the apparatus in a user's mouth;   a video connector piece for mounting a camera to the apparatus; and   a connector that structurally secures the mouthpiece and the video connector piece.   
     
     
         2 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the connector is a tie-wrap. 
     
     
         3 . The apparatus of  claims 1 , wherein the connector is glue. 
     
     
         4 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein securing the mouthpiece and the video connector forms a waterproof seal. 
     
     
         5 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the mouthpiece defines a bore and the video connector piece defines an opening, that together, facilitate breathing through the apparatus when the mouthpiece is inserted into the user's mouth. 
     
     
         6 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein at least one of the mouthpiece and the video connector piece is extendable. 
     
     
         7 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the video connector piece includes a plurality of fingers, each finder defining a mounting hole. 
     
     
         8 . The apparatus of  claim 7  further comprising a device that includes a mounting portion, the mounting portion matingly secures to the video connector piece. 
     
     
         9 . The apparatus of  claim 8 , wherein the mounting portion includes a plurality of fingers that mating align with the video connector piece's fingers and the mounting portion's the fingers each define a mounting hole that axially aligns with the video connector piece's finger's mounting holes. 
     
     
         10 . The apparatus of  claim 7 , wherein the mounting portion is a compatible with a GoPro™ camera. 
     
     
         11 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the mouthpiece is made of silicon and includes an insert incorporated into silicon. 
     
     
         12 . A method of manufacturing the apparatus of  claim 1 . 
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 12 , wherein the video connector piece is injection molded.
