Capsule for preparing beverages
Abstract
A capsule for preparing a beverage from a powdery or granular raw material is provided with a body of polymeric material, comprising a seat suitable for containing the powdery or granular raw material. The capsule is characterized in that the seat comprises an opening provided with a first edge sealed by a first foil impermeable to fluids. A collection chamber divided from said seat by means of a bottom wall having a second edge projecting in the longitudinal direction is also provided. The edge is sealed with a second foil impermeable to fluids. The body is made of plastic material impermeable to fluids, in particular to gases and even more particularly to atmospheric oxygen.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . Capsule for preparing a beverage from a powdery or granular raw material, provided with a body of polymeric material comprising a seat suitable for containing the powdery or granular raw material, characterized in that
said seat comprises an opening provided with a first edge sealed by a first foil impermeable to fluids; a collection chamber is divided from said seat by means of a bottom wall having a second edge projecting in a longitudinal direction, said second edge being sealed with a second foil impermeable to fluids; and said body is made of plastic material impermeable to fluids and gases.
2 . The capsule according to claim 1 , characterized in that said plastic material is polyethylene terephthalate.
3 . The capsule according to claim 1 , characterized in that said first foil consists of a first layer of aluminium and a second layer of polyethylene terephthalate joined together, with the first layer facing an outside of the seat and the second layer facing an inside of the seat.
4 . The capsule according to claim 1 , characterized in that said second foil consists of a first layer of aluminium and a second layer of polyethylene terephthalate joined together, with the first layer facing an outside of the seat and the second layer facing an inside of the seat.
5 . The capsule according to claim 1 , characterized by comprising a permeable foil provided between the first foil and the top edge, said permeable foil covering the opening.
6 . The capsule according to claim 3 , characterized in that said first foil comprises a first tab facilitating removal of the first foil.
7 . The capsule according to claim 4 , characterized in that said second foil is provided with a second tab facilitating removal of the second first foil.
8 . The capsule according to claim 1 , characterized in that one of the gases is atmospheric oxygen.
9 . The capsule according to claim 3 , characterized in that said second foil consists of a first layer of aluminium and a second layer of polyethylene terephthalate joined together, with the first layer facing the outside of the seat and the second layer facing the inside of the seat.
10 . The capsule according to claim 9 , characterized in that said first foil comprises a first tab facilitating removal of the first foil.
11 . The capsule according to claim 10 , characterized in that said second foil is provided with a second tab facilitating removal of the second foil.
12 . The capsule according to claim 3 , characterized by comprising a permeable foil provided between the first foil and the top edge, said permeable foil covering the opening.
13 . The capsule according to claim 4 , characterized by comprising a permeable foil provided between the first foil and the top edge, said permeable foil covering the opening.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
