Claims

Abstract

Systems and methods for optimizing muscle development are disclosed. A method includes identifying one or more parameters of a user and force data associated with the user. The force data corresponds to an exercise to be performed by the user. The method further includes generating an exercise program to be executed using an exercise device, and determining a resistance to be applied by the exercise device during execution of the exercise program. The resistance is determined based at least partially on the force data and the one or more parameters of the user.

         21 . A method for scheduling an exercise program, the method comprising:
 generating the exercise program based at least partially on a plurality of parameters associated with a user and on force data acquired by an exercise device while the user operated the exercise device;   identifying, by a processing device, calendar data associated with the user;   identifying, by the processing device, an exercise within the exercise program;   computing, by the processing device, a total time duration for performing the exercise; and   generating, by the processing device, schedule data based at least partially on the calendar data and the computed total time duration, the schedule data comprising dates and times at which the exercise is to be performed by the user.   
     
     
         22 . The method of  claim 21 , wherein computing the total time duration for performing the exercise comprises computing the total time duration based at least partially on a number of sets of the exercise, a number of repetitions of the exercise, and a rest time duration between sets of the exercise. 
     
     
         23 . The method of  claim 21 , wherein generating the calendar data further comprises:
 identifying, by the processing device, one or more reserved blocks of time within the calendar data; and   selecting, by the processing device, the dates and times at which the exercise is to be performed by avoiding scheduling conflicts between the selected dates and times and the one or more reserved blocks of time.   
     
     
         24 . The method of  claim 21 , wherein generating the calendar data further comprises:
 selecting, by the processing device, the dates and times at which the exercise is to be performed by enforcing a minimum recovery time between adjacent occurrences of the exercise within the calendar data.   
     
     
         25 . The method of  claim 21 , further comprising:
 receiving, by the processing device, input of one or more user-preferred times for exercising, wherein generating the schedule data comprises generating the schedule data based at least partially on the one or more user-preferred times.   
     
     
         26 . The method of  claim 21 , wherein identifying the calendar data comprises retrieving the calendar data from a remote source. 
     
     
         27 . The method of  claim 21 , wherein generating the exercise program comprises:
 generating set table data comprising one or more of a number of sets to be performed for the exercise, a number of repetitions to be performed for a respective set the exercise, an initial resistance for the exercise, or a repetition speed for the exercise; and   storing the set table data in a memory communicatively coupled to the processing device.   
     
     
         28 . The method of  claim 27 , further comprising:
 generating, by the processing device, an indication to the user to perform the exercise with the exercise device;   receiving the force data from the exercise device as the user applies a force to an actuatable component of an exercise device, wherein the exercise device captures the force data over a time duration, and wherein the exercise device maintains a relative location of the actuatable component as the user applies the force to the actuatable component during the time duration; and   computing one-rep maximum data based on the force data; and   storing the one-rep maximum data in the set table data for the exercise.   
     
     
         29 . The method of  claim 21 , further comprising:
 updating the schedule data based on progress achieved by the user in performing the exercise in accordance with the exercise program.   
     
     
         30 . A method for scheduling an exercise program, the method comprising:
 generating the exercise program based at least partially on a plurality of parameters associated with a user and on force data acquired by an exercise device while the user operated the exercise device;   receiving, by a processing device, input of one or more user-preferred times for exercising;   identifying, by the processing device, an exercise within the exercise program;   computing, by the processing device, a total time duration for performing the exercise; and   generating, by the processing device, schedule data based at least partially on the one or more user-preferred times and the computed time duration, the schedule data comprising dates and times at which the exercise is to be performed.   
     
     
         31 . A system comprising:
 a memory;   a processing device communicatively coupled to the memory, wherein the processing device is to:
 generate an exercise program based at least partially on a plurality of parameters associated with a user and on force data acquired by an exercise device while the user operated the exercise device; 
 identify calendar data associated with a user; 
 identify an exercise within the exercise program; 
 compute a total time duration for performing the exercise; and 
 generate schedule data based at least partially on the calendar data and the computed total time duration, the schedule data comprising dates and times at which the exercise is to be performed by the user. 
   
     
     
         32 . The system of  claim 31 , wherein to compute the total time duration for performing the exercise, the processing device is further to compute the total time duration based at least partially on a number of sets of the exercise, a number of repetitions of the exercise, and a rest time duration between sets of the exercise. 
     
     
         33 . The system of  claim 31 , wherein to generate the calendar data, the processing device is further to:
 identify one or more reserved blocks of time within the calendar data; and   select the dates and times at which the exercise is to be performed by avoiding scheduling conflicts between the selected dates and times and the one or more reserved blocks of time.   
     
     
         34 . The system of  claim 31 , wherein to generate the calendar data, the processing device is further to:
 select the dates and times at which the exercise is to be performed by enforcing a minimum recovery time between adjacent occurrences of the exercise within the calendar data.   
     
     
         35 . The system of  claim 31 , wherein the processing device is further to:
 receive input of one or more user-preferred times for exercising, wherein to generate the schedule data, the processing device is further to generate the schedule data based at least partially on the one or more user-preferred times.   
     
     
         36 . The system of  claim 31 , wherein to identify the calendar data, the processing device is further to retrieve the calendar data from a remote source. 
     
     
         37 . The system of  claim 31 , wherein to generate the exercise program, the processing device is further to:
 generate set table data comprising one or more of a number of sets to be performed for the exercise, a number of repetitions to be performed for a respective set the exercise, an initial resistance for the exercise, or a repetition speed for the exercise; and   store the set table data in the memory.   
     
     
         38 . The system of  claim 37 , wherein the processing device is further to:
 generate an indication to the user to perform the exercise with the exercise device;   receive force data from the exercise device as the user applies a force to an actuatable component of an exercise device, wherein the exercise device is to capture the force data over a time duration, and wherein the exercise device is to maintain a relative location of the actuatable component as the user applies the force to the actuatable component during the time duration; and   compute one-rep maximum data based on the force data; and   store the one-rep maximum data in the set table data for the exercise.   
     
     
         39 . The system of  claim 31 , wherein the processing device is further to:
 update the schedule data based on progress achieved by the user in performing the exercise in accordance with the exercise program.   
     
     
         40 . A non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium having instructions encoded thereon, which, when executed by a processing device, cause the processing device to:
 generating an exercise program based at least partially on a plurality of parameters associated with a user and on force data acquired by an exercise device while the user operated the exercise device;   identify calendar data associated with a user;   identify an exercise within the exercise program;   compute a total time duration for performing the exercise; and   generate schedule data based at least partially on the calendar data and the computed total time duration, the schedule data comprising dates and times at which the exercise is to be performed by the user.
