Formulations Containing Paraffinic Oil and Anti-Settling Agent

Abstract

The present invention features a composition comprising a paraffinic oil, an emulsifier, a pigment, a silicone surfactant and an anti-settling agent. The present invention also features a method of controlling a disease, condition or injury caused by a pest of a plant, the method comprising applying to the plant the composition defined above. A method of making the composition is also disclosed.

 (i) a paraffinic oil continuous phase;   (ii) an aqueous dispersed phase;   (iii) a first dispersible solid; and   (iv) a second dispersible solid;   wherein:   (a) the first dispersible solid comprises a water dispersible pigment, which is dispersed within the aqueous dispersed phase; and   (b) the second dispersible solid comprises an anti-settling agent, which is dispersed within the paraffinic oil continuous phase and the aqueous dispersed phase and is present in an amount sufficient to prevent at least 50 percent of the water dispersible pigment from coalescing and/or settling out of the aqueous dispersed phase and forming a non-dispersible solid mass of the water dispersible pigment.
