Abstract

Certain exemplary embodiments can provide one or more systems, machines, devices, manufactures, compositions of matter, and/or methods for, activities that can comprise, creating a composition comprising chlorine dioxide adsorbed in a zeolite, and/or releasing at least a portion of the chlorine dioxide from the composition, the released chlorine dioxide potentially useful for disinfection, decolorization, mildew control, and/or odor control.

         8 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein:
the composition is held by a bandage.

         9 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein:
the composition is bound to a substrate.

         10 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein:
the composition is bound to an insoluble substrate.

         11 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein:
the composition is bound to an insoluble substrate and is configured to, upon contact with water, release the ClO2 from the zeolite.

12 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the composition:
is bound to an insoluble substrate; and is configured to, upon contact with water, release the ClO2 from the zeolite and maintain a bond between the substrate and the zeolite.

13 . The composition of claim 1 , further comprising:
 a solvent.

14 . The composition of claim 1 , further comprising:

15 . The composition of claim 1 , further comprising:
 a liquid phase aqueous solvent.

         16 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein:
the chlorine dioxide (ClO2) that is adsorbed on the ZSM-5 zeolite weighs greater than 5 percent of the post-adsorption weight of the ZSM-5 zeolite.

         17 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein:
the chlorine dioxide (ClO2) that is adsorbed on the ZSM-5 zeolite weighs greater than 10 percent of the post-adsorption weight of the ZSM-5 zeolite.

         18 . A mixture comprising:
a composition comprising a substantially solid complex that comprises chlorine dioxide (ClO2) adsorbed on a ZSM-5 zeolite, the composition immersed in a solvent.

         19 . The mixture of claim 18 , wherein:
the solvent comprises additional chlorine dioxide (ClO2).

         20 . The mixture of claim 18 , wherein:
the solvent is a liquid phase aqueous solvent; and the additional chlorine dioxide (ClO2) is dissolved in the liquid phase aqueous solvent.

         21 . The mixture of claim 18 , wherein:
the solvent is a liquid phase aqueous solvent; the additional chlorine dioxide (ClO2) is dissolved in the liquid phase aqueous solvent; and the chlorine dioxide (ClO2) that is adsorbed on the ZSM-5 zeolite weighs greater than 5 percent of the post-adsorption weight of the ZSM-5 zeolite.
