Abstract

Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques for constructing a VHT-SIG field of a transmission preamble in a manner that may reduce peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of the transmission.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A method for wireless communications, comprising:
constructing a signal (SIG) field by applying a sequence of known bits to one or more information bits; and transmitting the SIG field over a wireless channel.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein applying a sequence of known bits to one or more information bits comprises performing a logical operation with the sequence of known bits.

3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein at least one of the sequence of known bits or information bits comprise bits of an Association Identifier (AID).

         4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein:
constructing the SIG field comprises performing a logical OR operation between the bits of the AID and the sequence of known bits.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the sequence of known bits or information bits comprise bits of a group Identifier (GID).

6 . An apparatus for wireless communications, comprising:
means for constructing a signal (SIG) field by applying a sequence of known bits to one or more information bits; and means for transmitting the SIG field over a wireless channel.

7 . The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the means for applying a sequence of known bits to one or more information bits comprises means for performing a logical operation with the sequence of known bits.

8 . The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein at least one of the sequence of known bits or information bits comprise bits of an Association Identifier (AID).

         9 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein:
the means for constructing the SIG field comprises means for performing a logical OR operation between the bits of the AID and the sequence of known bits.

10 . The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein at least one of the sequence of known bits or information bits comprise bits of a group Identifier (GID).

11 . A non-transitory computer readable medium containing executable instructions for wireless communications, the executable instructions comprising instructions for:
constructing a signal (SIG) field by applying a sequence of known bits to one or more information bits; and transmitting the SIG field over a wireless channel.

12 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 11 , wherein applying a sequence of known bits to one or more information bits comprises performing a logical operation with the sequence of known bits.

13 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 12 , wherein at least one of the sequence of known bits or information bits comprise bits of an Association Identifier (AID).

         14 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 13 , wherein:
constructing the SIG field comprises performing a logical OR operation between the bits of the AID and the sequence of known bits.

15 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 11 , wherein at least one of the sequence of known bits or information bits comprise bits of a group Identifier (GID).

         16 . A wireless node, comprising:
at least one antenna; a circuit configured to construct a signal (SIG) field by applying a sequence of known bits to one or more information bits; and a transmitter configured to transmit the SIG field over a wireless channel via the at least one antenna.

17 . The wireless node of claim 16 , wherein applying a sequence of known bits to one or more information bits comprises performing a logical operation with the sequence of known bits.

18 . The wireless node of claim 17 , wherein at least one of the sequence of known bits or information bits comprise bits of an Association Identifier (AID).

19 . The wireless node of claim 18 , wherein:
constructing the SIG field comprises performing a logical OR operation between the bits of the AID and the sequence of known bits.

20 . The wireless node of claim 16 , wherein at least one of the sequence of known bits or information bits comprise bits of a group Identifier (GID).
