Provided are novel treprostinil salts as well as methods for making treprostinil salts.

26 . A method for producing a solid crystalline salt of treprostinil, comprising contacting treprostinil with a base and allowing a solid crystalline salt formed with the base to crystallize in a solvent selected from the group consisting of acetone, ethanol, and a combination thereof.
27 . The method of claim 26 , wherein the treprostinil salt is a K, Ca, Na, Ba, Li, Mg or Cs salt.
28 . The method of claim 26 , wherein the treprostinil salt is at least 99% pure.
29 . The method of claim 26 , wherein the solvent is a combination of acetone and ethanol.
30 . The method of claim 29 , wherein the yield of the solid crystalline salt is greater than 50%.
