Abstract
Systems and methods for electrochemically oxidizing components of a test-sensor reagent prior to deposition on a test sensor comprise at least a first electrode and a second electrode for contacting the test-sensor reagent. The first electrode and the second electrode may have hollow interior portions for contacting the test-sensor reagent to produce a modified test-sensor reagent having a reduced background current.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 22 . (canceled)
23 . A method of manufacturing a lot of test sensors, the method comprising the acts of:
providing the lot of test sensors, each of the test sensors including a base, a lid, a counter electrode, a working electrode and a reagent; reducing a background current characteristic of each of the test sensors; controlling or adjusting a slope value of a dose response line by controlling or adjusting an area of the working electrode, the lot of test sensors is formed in the absence of calibration information.
24 . The method of claim 23 , wherein the controlling or adjusting of the area of the working electrode is accomplished by adjusting the electrode ablation.
25 . The method of claim 23 , wherein each of the lot of test sensors further includes a spacer, the spacer being located between the lid and the base, and wherein the controlling or adjusting the area of the working electrode is accomplished by adjusting a width of the spacer.
26 . The method of claim 23 , wherein the area of the working electrode is correlated to a fixed calibration line.
27 . The method of claim 26 , wherein no adjustments to the slope value and intercept of a dose response line are used for manufacturing the lot of test sensors.
28 . The method of claim 23 , wherein the reagent includes glucose dehydrogenase.
29 . The method of claim 23 , wherein the reagent includes a mediator.
30 . The method of claim 23 , wherein the reagent includes hydroxylethyl cellulose.
31 . The method of claim 23 , wherein the reagent includes a buffer.
32 . The method of claim 23 , wherein the reagent includes glucose dehydrogenase, a mediator, a buffer and hydroxylethyl cellulose.
33 . The method of claim 23 , wherein the background current characteristic of each of the test sensors is of a negligible value.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
