Abstract

A disinfectant system including a pouch enclosing a first reagent, the first reagent releasing a disinfecting vapor when exposed to moisture. A moisture transfer element is included engageable with the pouch.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A disinfectant system, comprising:
a moisture activated first reagent releasing a disinfecting vapor when exposed to moisture; a container, the moisture activated first reagent being retainable within the container; and a hatch substantially enclosing the moisture activated first reagent within the container when movably coupled with the container, the hatch containing at least one aperture configured to controllably release the disinfecting vapor when the moisture activated first reagent is exposed to moisture.

2 . The disinfectant system of claim 1 , further comprising a pouch, and wherein the pouch encloses the moisture activated first reagent.

3 . The disinfectant system of claim 2 , further comprising a moisture transfer element, and wherein the moisture transfer element is releasably engageable with the pouch and the pouch is removeably insertable within a portion of the moisture transfer element.

4 . The disinfectant system of claim 3 , wherein the moisture transfer element defines a slit, and wherein the pouch is removeably insertable within the slit.

5 . The disinfectant system of claim 3 , wherein the moisture transfer element is a sponge.

6 . The disinfectant system of claim 5 , wherein the sponge is removeably insertable into the container.

7 . The disinfectant system of claim 2 , wherein the pouch includes a moisture activated second reagent different than the moisture activated first reagent.

8 . The disinfectant system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one aperture includes a plurality of apertures.

9 . The disinfectant system of claim 1 , wherein the container is configured to retain a volume of liquid.

10 . The disinfectant system of claim 1 , wherein the hatch is pivotally coupled to the container.

         11 . A disinfectant system, comprising:
a pouch; a moisture activated first reagent disposed within the pouch and configured to release a disinfecting vapor when exposed to moisture; a container having at least one aperture configured to controllably release the disinfecting vapor when the moisture activated first reagent is exposed to moisture, the pouch being sized to be received within the container; and the container including a hatch movably coupled to the container, the hatch substantially enclosing the pouch within the container.

12 . The disinfectant system of claim 11 , wherein the container is configured to retain a volume of liquid.

13 . The disinfectant system of claim 11 , wherein the pouch further includes a moisture activated second reagent different than the moisture activated first reagent disposed within the pouch.

14 . The disinfectant system of claim 13 , wherein the moisture activated first reagent and the moisture activated second reagent are isolated from each other within the pouch.

15 . The disinfectant system of claim 14 , wherein the pouch and the moisture transfer element are received and substantially enclosed within the container.

16 . The disinfectant system of claim 13 , further comprising a moisture transfer element, and wherein the moisture transfer element is releasably engageable with the pouch and the pouch is removeably insertable within a portion of the moisture transfer element.

17 . The disinfectant system of claim 16 , wherein the moisture transfer element contains a slit and the pouch is removeably insertable within the slit.

18 . The disinfectant system of claim 15 , wherein the moisture transfer element is a sponge.

19 . The disinfectant system of claim 11 , wherein the hatch is pivotally coupled to the container.

         20 . A disinfectant system, comprising:
a moisture activated first reagent releasing a disinfecting vapor when exposed to moisture; a container receiving the moisture activated first reagent and configured to receive and retain a volume of liquid; and a hatch enclosing the moisture activated first reagent within the container, the hatch including at least one aperture configured to controllably release the disinfecting vapor when the moisture activated first reagent is exposed to water, the hatch being pivotally coupled to the container.
