Gaming machine

Abstract

A gaming machine includes a cabinet having an upper portion and a lower portion. A primary display is disposed in the upper portion and a user interface is disposed in the lower portion. The maximum frontal width of the lower portion is substantially less than the maximum frontal width of the upper portion such that a clearance is defined under the upper portion on each side of the lower portion.

         2 . A slant top gaming machine including:
 a cabinet having a front, a rear, a top, a bottom and two opposing sides extending between the front and the rear and between the top and the bottom;   a primary display disposed in the top of the cabinet and angled 0 to 45 degrees to a horizontal plane; and   a user interface disposed at the front of the cabinet;   wherein a lateral width of the top of the cabinet at the front is substantially less than a lateral width of the top of the cabinet at the rear such that a clearance is defined at either of the two opposing sides between the rear and the front.   
     
     
         3 . A gaming machine according to  claim 2 , wherein a lateral width of each the clearance is substantially identical. 
     
     
         4 . A gaming machine according to  claim 2 , wherein the lateral width of the top of the cabinet at the front is generally in the range of 70 to 90% of the lateral width of the top of the cabinet at the rear. 
     
     
         5 . A gaming machine according to  claim 2 , wherein the lateral width of the top of the cabinet at the front is generally in the range of 75 to 85% of the lateral width of the top of the cabinet at the rear. 
     
     
         6 . A gaming machine according to  claim 2 , wherein the lateral width of the top of the cabinet at the front is substantially 82% of the lateral width of the top of the cabinet at the rear. 
     
     
         7 . A gaming machine according to  claim 2 , further comprising a secondary display extending vertically from the top of the cabinet at the rear, the secondary display maintaining the lateral width of the top of the cabinet at the rear. 
     
     
         8 . A gaming machine according to  claim 2 , wherein a lateral width of the front of the cabinet is substantially identical to the lateral width of the top of the cabinet at the front from the top to the bottom of the cabinet. 
     
     
         9 . A gaming machine according to  claim 8 , wherein a lateral width of the bottom of the cabinet is substantially identical from the front of the cabinet to the rear. 
     
     
         10 . A gaming machine according to  claim 2 , further comprising a pedestal for supporting the cabinet. 
     
     
         11 . A gaming machine according to  claim 10 , wherein the pedestal has a front having a lateral width that is substantially identical to the lateral width of the top of the cabinet at the front. 
     
     
         12 . A gaming machine according to  claim 10 , wherein the pedestal is removable from the cabinet. 
     
     
         13 . A gaming machine according to  claim 2 , wherein the gaming machine is a casino type gaming machine.
