Abstract
Aspects of the present invention relate presentation of digital content, in a see-through display, representing a known location in an environment proximate to a head worn computer.
Claims

1 . A method of presenting an indication of another person's (“other person”) known location to a person wearing a see-through display of a head-worn computer (“first person”), comprising:
Receiving geo-spatial coordinates corresponding to the other person's location;
Receiving geo-spatial coordinates corresponding to the first person's location;
Receiving a compass heading for the first person that is indicative of a direction in which the first person is looking;
Generating a virtual target line between a see-through visual plane of the head-worn computer and other person such that the target line describes a distance and angle between the other person's location and the first person's location; and
Presenting, in a field of view of the head-worn computer, digital content to augment the first person's view of an environment through the see-through display of the head-worn computer, wherein the digital content is positioned within the field of view along the virtual target line such that the first person perceives the digital content in a position within the environment that represents the other person's known location.
2 . The method of claim 1 wherein the geo-spatial coordinates corresponding to the other person's location and the first person's location include altitude, longitude, and latitude.
3 . The method of claim 1 wherein the compass heading for the first person is an based on an electronic compass in the head-worn computer.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the compass heading for the first person is based on images of the environment captured by a camera in the head-worn computer.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the geo-spatial coordinates corresponding to the other person's location indicates that the other person is behind an object that obstructs the first person's view of the other person; and wherein the digital content indicates that a clear view is not available.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein a remote server is used to generate the target line.
