Abstract

Trampolines and trampoline frames configured to support a rebounding mat that extends from a horizontal plane into a vertical plane that is below the horizontal plane. The trampoline includes a horizontal frame that connects to a first portion of the rebounding mat to hold the mat in a substantially horizontal plane and a vertical frame that connects to a second portion of the rebounding mat to hold the mat in a substantially vertical plane that extends downward from the horizontal plane.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A trampoline comprising:
a rebounding mat; a frame, wherein the frame comprises:
a first horizontal frame configured to be connected to a first portion of the rebounding mat such that the first portion of the rebounding mat is held in a first substantially horizontal plane when the first portion of the rebounding mat is connected to the first horizontal frame; and
 a first vertical frame configured to be connected to a second portion of the rebounding mat such that the second portion of the rebounding mat is held in a first substantially vertical plane extending downward from the first substantially horizontal plane when the second portion of the rebounding mat is connected to the first vertical frame;
one or more first connectors that connect the first portion of the rebounding mat to the horizontal frame; and one or more second connectors that connect the second portion of the rebounding mat to the vertical frame.

2 . The trampoline of claim 1 , wherein the one or more first connectors are springs.

3 . The trampoline of claim 2 , wherein the one or more second connectors are not springs.

         4 . A trampoline comprising:
a first rebounding mat; a frame, wherein the frame comprises:
a first horizontal frame configured to be connected to a first portion of the first rebounding mat such that the first portion of the first rebounding mat is held in a first substantially horizontal plane when the first portion of the first rebounding mat is connected to the first horizontal frame; and
a first vertical frame configured to be connected to a second portion of the first rebounding mat such that the second portion of the first rebounding mat is held in a first substantially vertical plane, the second portion of the first rebounding mat extending downward from the first substantially horizontal plane when the second portion of the first rebounding mat is connected to the first vertical frame such that the first rebounding mat forms a first waterfall; and
a second rebounding mat connected to the first vertical frame.

5 . The trampoline of claim 4 , wherein one or more springs connect the first rebounding mat to the frame.

6 . The trampoline of claim 5 , wherein the second rebounding mat overlaps the first rebounding mat.

7 . The trampoline of claim 6 , wherein connectors connect the second rebounding mat to the first vertical frame, and wherein the connectors are not springs.

         8 . A trampoline system comprising:
a first support configured to be a substantially horizontal portion of a frame; a second support configured to be a substantially vertical portion of the frame that extends downward from the first support; a rebounding mat configured to be connected to the first and second supports such that the rebounding mat forms a waterfall; and springs configured to connect the rebounding mat to the first and second supports.
