Abstract
An implantable medical device includes at least one receptacle configured for receiving at least one electrical lead, a printed wiring board including a processor, a flexible tape interconnect coupled between the at least one receptacle and the printed wiring board, and a housing forming a substantially sealed enclosure for the printed wiring board and the flexible tape interconnect.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An assembly configured to at least one of deliver therapy to or monitor a patient, the assembly comprising:
at least one implantable electrical lead; and an implantable medical device comprising a connection module including at least one receptacle configured to receive the at least one electrical lead, a printed wiring board including a processor, a flexible tape interconnect coupled between the at least one receptacle and the printed wiring board, and a housing to which the connection module is mounted, the housing forming a substantially sealed enclosure for the printed wiring board and the flexible tape interconnect.
2 . The assembly of claim 1 , wherein the flexible tape interconnect is connected to the printed wiring board with a solder connection.
3 . The assembly of claim 1 , further comprising at least one feedthrough, the at least one feedthrough providing an electrical connection between the flexible tape interconnect and the at least one receptacle.
4 . The assembly of claim 3 , further comprising electrical contacts within the at least one receptacle for electrically coupling with the electrical lead, wherein the at least one feedthrough provides the electrical connection between the flexible tape interconnect and the electrical contacts.
5 . The assembly of claim 1 , further comprising electrical contacts within the at least one receptacle.
6 . An implantable medical device, comprising:
at least one receptacle configured for receiving at least one electrical lead; a printed wiring board including a processor; a flexible tape interconnect coupled between the at least one receptacle and the printed wiring board; and a housing forming a substantially sealed enclosure for the printed wiring board and the flexible tape interconnect.
7 . The implantable medical device claim 6 , wherein the flexible tape interconnect is connected to the printed wiring board with a solder connection.
8 . The implantable medical device of claim 6 , further comprising at least one feedthrough, the at least one feedthrough providing an electrical connection between the flexible tape interconnect and the at least one receptacle.
9 . The implantable medical device of claim 8 , further comprising electrical contacts within the at least one receptacle, wherein the at least one feedthrough provides the electrical connection between the flexible tape interconnect and the electrical contacts.
10 . The implantable medical device of claim 6 , further comprising electrical contacts within the at least one receptacle.
11 . The implantable medical device of claim 6 , further comprising a member including the at least one receptacle.
12 . The implantable medical device of claim 6 , further comprising a connection module including the at least one receptacle, wherein the connection module is mounted to the housing.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
