Abstract

A mattress cover assembly for covering a mattress includes a waterproof sheet with a bottom surface that is configured to slide readily across a mattress surface on which same is spread, and the waterproof sheet is configured to cover the mattress surface and to extend downward along right and left sides of the mattress. An incontinence pad is fastened to a middle portion of a top surface of the waterproof sheet, and a plurality of loops are spaced about a perimeter of the waterproof sheet.

1 . A mattress cover assembly for covering a mattress, the assembly comprising:
 a waterproof sheet with a bottom surface that is configured to slide readily across a mattress surface on which the same is spread, the waterproof sheet having upper and lower edges for arranging at corresponding upper and lower ends of the mattress such that the entire mattress surface is covered by the waterproof sheet, the waterproof sheet extending downward from right and left sides of the mattress to right and left side edges of the waterproof sheet located below the mattress surface;   an incontinence pad fastened to a middle portion of a top surface of the waterproof sheet; and   a plurality of loops spaced about a perimeter of the waterproof sheet.   
     
     
         2 . The assembly of  claim 1  wherein the waterproof sheet is provided by a breathable fabric wherein air passes through the fabric. 
     
     
         3 . The assembly of  claim 2  wherein breathable fabric a polyurethane laminate fabric comprising a slippery laminate layer bonded to a knit layer and wherein the slippery laminate layer provides the bottom surface of the waterproof sheet configured to slide readily across the mattress surface and the knit layer provides the top surface of the waterproof sheet. 
     
     
         4 . The assembly of  claim 1  wherein the incontinence pad is fastened to the top surface of the waterproof sheet by stitches. 
     
     
         5 . The assembly of  claim 1  wherein the incontinence pad covers the middle portion of the waterproof sheet. 
     
     
         6 . The assembly of  claim 1  wherein a pair of loops is provided adjacent to the upper and lower edges on each of the right and left side edges of the waterproof sheet.
