Content generation revenue sharing
Abstract
Techniques are described that facilitate generating useful content based on user interactions, such as by providing an answer-providing service that facilitates interactions between users who supply questions and users who supply responses to the questions of other users, as well as using the generated content in various ways. In some situations, users are compensated for participating in interactions with the answer-providing service in various ways, including by sharing a portion of an ongoing revenue stream generated from an answer to a question with users who provided responses that are used as part of the answer. In some situations, the sharing of an ongoing revenue stream related to an answer may be split between the users who provided the responses for the answer in various manners, including based on assessed levels of expertise of those users.

57 . The computer-implemented method of claim 50 wherein the providing of the one or more benefits to at least one of the enhanced response provider users includes using a selection process for each of at least some questions that provides a preference for a response provided by the enhanced response provider user to be selected for use as an answer to the question.
58 . The computer-implemented method of claim 50 wherein the providing of the one or more benefits to at least one of the enhanced response provider users includes providing an indicated benefit when the current experience score of the enhanced response provider user reaches a predetermined threshold.
59 . The computer-implemented method of claim 50 wherein the providing of the one or more benefits to at least one of the enhanced response provider users includes providing an indicated benefit when a current experience score of the enhanced response provider user increases by at least a predetermined amount during a predetermined period of time.
60 . The computer-implemented method of claim 50 wherein the determining of the enhanced incentive level status for each of at least one of the response provider users is further based on experience scores of other response provider users.
61 . The computer-implemented method of claim 50 wherein the determining of the enhanced incentive level status for each of at least one of the response provider users is performed in a manner specific to a current experience score of the response provider user, such that the at least one response provider user receives multiple enhanced incentive level statuses for distinct answer categories represented by multiple current experience scores of the at least one response provider user.
62 . The computer-implemented method of claim 50 wherein for at least one selected response, the determining of the current experience score for the associated response provider user is based at least in part on feedback received from other users related to the selected response.
63 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium having stored contents that when executed configure a computing device to perform a method, the method comprising:
for each of multiple user-supplied questions,
receiving, by the configured computing device, a response to the question from each of one or more response provider users, and selecting at least one of the received responses to be provided as the answer to the question; and
for each selected response,
determining, by the configured computing device, one or more current experience scores for the response provider user that provided the selected response, each of the determined one or more current experience scores representing a level of experience of the response provider user with respect to one or more categories associated with the provided answer;
initiating, by the configured computing device, compensating the response provider user for the selected response based at least in part on one or more of the determined current experience scores of the response provider user; and
determining, by the configured computing device and based at least in part on one or more of the determined current experience scores of the response provider user, an enhanced incentive level status for the response provider user; and
for each of one or more response provider users having the enhanced incentive level status, providing one or more benefits to the response provider user that are not provided to other users who do not have the enhanced incentive level status.
