Male genital support system

Abstract

A male genital support system constructed in accordance with an embodiment of the invention broadly comprises a waist belt, a buttocks support, a pouch, a restraint strap, a penis sheath, and a groin bracer. The waist belt supports the genital support system around a wearer's waist. The buttocks support belt supports the wearer's buttocks. The pouch holds the wearer's scrotum separately from the wearer's penis. The restraint strap braces and supports the scrotum. The penis sheath holds the penis separately from the scrotum. The groin bracer holds the base of the penis sheath against the wearer's groin.

Having thus described various embodiments of the invention, what is claimed as new and desired to be protected by Letters Patent includes the following: 
     
         1 . A male genital support system comprising:
 a waist belt configured to be worn around a wearer's waist;   a buttocks support belt including a first fastener disposed near a first end of the buttocks support belt and a second fastener disposed near a second end of the buttocks support belt opposite the first end for connecting the buttocks support belt to the waist belt, the buttocks support belt being configured to lift and support the wearer's buttocks;   an open-topped pouch including first and second fasteners extending from the top of the pouch for connecting the pouch to the waist belt, the open-topped pouch being configured to hold the wearer's scrotum separately from the wearer's penis, to exert an upward pressure on the scrotum, and to provide impact protection to the scrotum;   a restraint strap including first and second fasteners extending therefrom for connecting the restraint strap to the waist belt, the restraint strap being configured to be wrapped around at least a portion of the open-topped pouch and being configured to exert lateral pressure on the scrotum and to provide impact protection to the scrotum;   a penis sheath including an elongated tube having an open base end and a closed distal end and defining an interior chamber, the penis sheath being configured to hold the penis separately from the scrotum in the interior chamber of the elongated tube; and   a groin bracer including a first fastener for connecting the groin bracer to the waist belt and second and third fasteners for connecting the groin bracer to the middle of the buttocks support belt, the groin bracer being configured to hold the open base of the elongated tube of the penis sheath against the wearer's groin.   
     
     
         2 . The genital support system of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 at least one tension strap configured to connect the fasteners of the groin bracer to the buttocks support belt through the space between the wearer's legs for retaining the groin bracer against the wearer's groin.   
     
     
         3 . The genital support system of  claim 2 , wherein the at least one tension strap is at least partially constructed of flexible rubber tubing. 
     
     
         4 . The genital support system of  claim 2 , wherein the buttocks support belt has a width of approximately 3 inches, is at least partially formed of neoprene rubber or EPDM rubber, and includes one part of a hook and loop fastener near the middle of the buttocks support belt for connecting the at least one tension strap to the buttocks support belt. 
     
     
         5 . The genital support system of  claim 1 , wherein the waist belt has a width of from approximately 8 inches to approximately 12 inches and a length of from approximately 30 inches to approximately 60 inches and is at least partially formed of neoprene rubber on an inward facing side of the waist belt and nylon loop material on an outward facing side of the waist belt for securing the waist belt around the wearer's waist. 
     
     
         6 . The genital support system of  claim 1 , wherein the waist belt presents an outer surface substantially including hook or loop fastener material for connecting the buttocks support belt, the open-topped pouch, and the groin bracer thereto. 
     
     
         7 . The genital support system of  claim 6 , further comprising at least one waist belt extension configured to be connected to an end of the waist belt for increasing an overall length of the waist belt. 
     
     
         8 . The genital support system of  claim 1 , wherein the pouch defines a plurality of holes for allowing air to pass therethrough. 
     
     
         9 . The genital support system of  claim 1 , wherein the pouch presents a concave recess at a top front of the pouch for cradling the penis sheath therein. 
     
     
         10 . The genital support system of  claim 1 , wherein the restraint strap includes a third fastener configured to snugly secure the restraint strap around a front of the scrotum. 
     
     
         11 . The genital support system of  claim 1 , wherein the restraint strap defines a plurality of holes for allowing air to pass therethrough. 
     
     
         12 . The genital support system of  claim 1 , wherein the penis sheath includes a seal at the open base of the elongated tube configured to fit snugly around a base of the wearer's penis. 
     
     
         13 . The genital support system of  claim 12 , wherein the seal defines a minimum circumference and is configured to be modified for increasing the minimum circumference. 
     
     
         14 . The genital support system of  claim 12 , wherein the seal is cone shaped and is configured to be widened by removing a narrow end of the cone shape. 
     
     
         15 . The genital support system of  claim 12 , wherein the base of the penis sheath includes a flange extending radially therefrom and the groin bracer includes a bracer flange configured to mate with the flange of the penis sheath for holding the base of the penis sheath against the wearer's groin. 
     
     
         16 . The genital support system of  claim 1 , wherein the penis sheath includes a nozzle disposed at a distal end of the penis sheath, the nozzle being configured to be opened for urinating therethrough or for adding lubrication to the interior chamber. 
     
     
         17 . The genital support system of  claim 1 , wherein the penis sheath includes a nozzle disposed at a distal end of the penis sheath, the nozzle being configured to be connected to a urine bag for retaining the wearer's urine therein. 
     
     
         18 . The genital support system of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a sheath covering including first and second fasteners and being configured to be connected to the waist belt via the first fastener and connected to the middle of the buttocks support belt via the second fastener for holding the penis sheath and the wearer's penis against the wearer's body in an upward orientation or a downward orientation.   
     
     
         19 . An undergarment system for an incontinent male wearer, the undergarment system comprising:
 a waist belt configured to support the undergarment system around the wearer's waist;   a buttocks support belt including a first fastener disposed near a first end of the buttocks support belt and a second fastener disposed near a second end of the buttocks support belt opposite the first end for connecting the buttocks support belt to the waist belt, the buttocks support belt being configured to lift and support the wearer's buttocks;   an open-topped pouch including first and second fasteners extending from the top of the pouch for connecting the pouch to the waist belt, the open-topped pouch being configured to hold the wearer's scrotum, to exert an upward pressure on the scrotum, and to provide impact protection to the scrotum;   a restraint strap including first and second fasteners extending therefrom for connecting the restraint strap to the waist belt, the restraint strap being configured to be wrapped around at least a portion of the open-topped pouch and being configured to exert a lateral pressure on the scrotum and to provide impact protection to the scrotum;   a penis sheath including an elongated tube having an open base end and a closed distal end and defining an interior chamber and a nozzle disposed at the distal end of the elongated tube, the penis sheath being configured to hold the wearer's penis separately from the scrotum in the interior chamber of the elongated tube and being configured to be attached to a urine bag via the nozzle for collecting and retaining the wearer's urine therein; and   a groin bracer including a first fastener for connecting the groin bracer to the waist belt and second and third fasteners for connecting the groin bracer to a middle of the buttocks support belt, the groin bracer being configured to hold the open base of the elongated tube of the penis sheath against the wearer's groin.   
     
     
         20 . A male genital support system comprising:
 a waist belt including a hook and loop fastener for securing the waist belt around a wearer's waist, the waist belt having a width of from approximately 6 inches to approximately 12 inches and a length of from approximately 30 inches to approximately 60 inches and being at least partially formed of neoprene rubber;   a buttocks support belt including a first fastener disposed near a first end of the buttocks support belt and a second fastener disposed near a second end of the buttocks support belt opposite the first end for connecting the buttocks support belt to the waist belt, the buttocks support belt having a width of approximately 3 inches and being at least partially formed of neoprene rubber and being configured to support the wearer's buttocks;   a penis sheath including an elongated tube having an open base end and a closed distal end and defining an interior chamber and a flange extending radially from the open base of the penis sheath, the penis sheath being configured to hold the wearer's penis separately from the wearer's scrotum in the interior chamber of the elongated tube;   an open-topped pouch including first and second fasteners extending from the top of the pouch for connecting the pouch to the waist belt, defining a plurality of holes for allowing air to pass therethrough, and presenting a concave recess for cradling the penis sheath, the pouch being configured to hold the scrotum separately from the penis, to exert an upward pressure on the scrotum, and to provide impact protection to the scrotum;   a restraint strap including first and second fasteners extending therefrom for connecting the restraint strap to the waist belt and defining a plurality of holes for allowing air to pass therethrough, the restraint strap being configured to be wrapped around at least a portion of the pouch and being configured to restrict lateral movements of the scrotum and to provide impact protection to the scrotum; and   a groin bracer including a bracer flange for mating with the flange of the penis sheath, a first fastener for connecting the groin bracer to the waist belt, and second and third fasteners for connecting the groin bracer to a middle of the buttocks support belt, the groin bracer being configured to hold the open base of the penis sheath against the wearer's groin.
