a first side wall and a second side wall each comprising an upper rim and a lower rim meeting at a first point and a second point, wherein the lower rim forms an arc, wherein the lower rim of the first side wall is aligned with the lower rim of the second side wall; and a seat portion disposed in between the first side wall and the second side wall, and a back portion disposed in between the first side wall and the second side wall.

2 . The rocking chair of claim 1 , wherein the first side wall and the second side wall form a crescent shape.

3 . The rocking chair of claim 1 , wherein the seat portion and the back portion are substantially perpendicular to the first side wall and the second side wall.

4 . The rocking chair of claim 1 , wherein the seat portion is substantially perpendicular relative to the back portion.

5 . The rocking chair of claim 1 , wherein the back portion is connected to the seat portion, wherein the back portion extends towards the first point and the seat portion extends towards the second point.

6 . The rocking chair of claim 1 , wherein the circumference of the arc from the first point to the second point is greater than a semi-circle.

         7 . A rocking chair comprising:
a first side wall and a second side wall each comprising a lower rim comprising an arc having a greater circumference than a semi-circle; a seat attached in between the first side wall and the second side wall; and a back attached in between the first side wall and the second side wall.

8 . The rocking chair of claim 7 , wherein the first side wall and the second side wall are substantially parallel to one another.

9 . The rocking chair of claim 7 wherein the first side wall and the second side wall each comprise an upper rim meeting the lower rim at a first point and a second point.

10 . The rocking chair of claim 9 , wherein the back portion is connected to the seat portion, wherein the back portion extends towards the first point and the seat portion extends towards the second point.

11 . A method of rocking in a chair comprising:
providing a chair comprising: a first side wall and a second side wall each having a first point and a second point forming an arc shaped rim in between, wherein the arc shaped rim rests on a surface; a seat portion; and a back portion, wherein the seat portion and the back portion are disposed between the first side wall and the second side wall; sitting on the seat portion, and thereby sitting in between the first side wall and the second side wall; rocking the chair back towards the first point and forward towards the second point, from an upright position to an inverted position.

12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the first side wall and the second side wall are crescent shaped.
