Abstract

Aspects of the present invention relate to providing see-through computer display with improved optics.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A head-worn display with multiply folded optics providing improved displayed images overlaid onto a see-through view of a surrounding environment comprising:
 a. A solid prism with an angled planar surface; b. a self-luminous display providing image light associated with the displayed images; and c. a flat reflective plate bonded to the planar surface that reflects image light associated with the displayed images, wherein the flat reflective plate is bonded to the solid prism.

2 . The head-worn display of claim 1 wherein the self-luminous display is an OLED.

3 . The head-worn display of claim 1 wherein the self-luminous display is a backlit LCD.

4 . The head-worn display of claim 1 wherein the flat reflective plate is bonded to the solid prism with an index matched adhesive.

5 . The head-worn display of claim 4 wherein the index matched adhesive has a refractive index that is +/−0.05 of the refractive index of the solid prism.

         6 - 69 . (canceled)
