Abstract

The invention relates to a solid pharmaceutical composition comprising solid amorphous fulvestrant, said composition being formulated in combination with a solubilizing composition. The invention also relates to a method for preparing said composition and a kit including the composition.

         13 . An injectable pharmaceutical formulation comprising a solid pharmaceutical composition characterized by comprising amorphous fulvestrant and a solubilizing composition. 
     
     
         14 . The formulation of  claim 13  characterized in that said solubilizing composition is selected from the group consisting of ethanol, benzyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, polyvinyl alcohol, dimethylsulfoxide, methylparaben, polyethylene glycol, polyoxyethylated fatty acid esters, castor oil, and mixtures thereof. 
     
     
         15 . The formulation of  claim 13  characterized in that said solubilizing composition is selected from the group consisting of ethanol, benzyl alcohol, castor oil, and mixtures thereof. 
     
     
         16 . The formulation of  claim 13  characterized in that said solubilizing composition is free of benzyl benzoate. 
     
     
         17 . The formulation of  claim 13  characterized in that the concentration of said castor oil comprises from 57 to 67% by weight. 
     
     
         18 . The formulation of  claim 13  characterized in that the concentration of said ethanol is of up to 43% by weight. 
     
     
         19 . The formulation of  claim 13  characterized in that the concentration of said benzyl alcohol is of up to 43% by weight.
