Abstract
The present invention includes a system that manages a framework for control quality verification, the framework comprising: a memory; a processor; and a module stored in memory, executable by a processor, and configured to manage a framework comprising: an electronic workbook for evaluating quality of at least one service catalog item against at least one control objective; and an interface for accessing the electronic workbook and information associated with the at least one service catalog item and the at least one control objective.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A system that manages a framework for control quality verification, the framework comprising:
a memory; a processor; and a module stored in memory, executable by a processor, and configured to manage a framework comprising: an electronic workbook for evaluating quality of at least one service catalog item against at least one control objective; and an interface for accessing the electronic workbook and information associated with the at least one service catalog item and the at least one control objective.
2 . The framework of claim 1 , wherein the at least one control objective comprises at least one guideline associated with a third party.
3 . The framework of claim 2 , wherein the third party guideline is associated with COBIT.
4 . The framework of claim 1 , wherein the electronic workbook comprises at least one of a menu, a table, a list, a map, or a spreadsheet.
5 . The framework of claim 1 , wherein the electronic workbook enables a user to input information associated with the at least one control objective.
6 . The framework of claim 1 , wherein information associated with the at least one service catalog item and the at least one control objective comprises at least one of an identification number, a grouping, a service name, a description, included activities, a process description, a control objective, a control objective description, a value driver, a control practice, or guidelines.
7 . The framework of claim 1 , wherein evaluating the quality of the at least one control objective comprises generating an overall control effectiveness.
8 . The framework of claim 6 , wherein generating the overall control effectiveness comprises at least one of receiving, generating, and analyzing a control design and a control effectiveness.
9 . The framework of claim 6 , wherein the overall control effectiveness is assigned to the service catalog item.
10 . The framework of claim 2 , wherein the electronic workbook is configured to identify at least one guideline associated with a third party that aligns with the at least one control objective.
11 . The framework of claim 10 , wherein identifying at least one guideline associated with a third party that aligns with the at least one control objective comprises determining a match between the at least one guideline associated with a third party and the at least one control objective.
12 . The framework of claim 10 , wherein identifying at least one guideline associated with a third party that aligns with the at least one control objective comprises assigning the at least one identified at least one guideline associated with a third party that aligns with the at least one control objective to the at least one control objective.
13 . The framework of claim 1 , wherein the electronic workbook comprises means for identifying at least one gap in control associated with the service catalog item.
14 . The framework of claim 13 , wherein the electronic workbook comprises means for recommending the employment of at least one control objective to fill the least one identified gap in control.
15 . The framework of claim 1 , wherein the dashboard comprises means for enabling a user to visually navigate the at least one service catalog item and its associated information.
16 . The framework of claim 1 , wherein the workbook is integrated with an existing digital platform.
17 . The framework of claim 12 , wherein assigning the at least one guideline associated with a third party that aligns with the at least one control objective to the at least one control objective comprises means for translation between the at least one guideline associated with a third party and the at least one control objective.
18 . The framework of claim 1 comprising means for enabling a user to add, edit, delete, modify, save, and store at least one of a service catalog item, a control objective, a guideline associated with a third party, and information associated with the at least one service catalog item, control objective, and guideline associated with a third party.
19 . A method for control quality verification, the method comprising:
receiving, using a computing device processor, a service catalog item; initiating, using a computing device processor, presentation of a first interface to enable a user to evaluate the quality of the received service catalog item via a workbook; and initiating, using a computing device processor, presentation of a second interface to enable the user to navigate the workbook and information associated with at least one of a control objective, a service catalog item, or a third party guideline.
20 . A computer program product for control quality verification, the product comprising:
a memory; a processor; and a module stored in memory, executable by a processor, and configured to manage a framework comprising: an electronic workbook for evaluating quality of at least one service catalog item against at least one control objective; and an interface for accessing the electronic workbook and information associated with the at least one service catalog item and the at least one control objective.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
