Pharmaceutical formulations comprising paraoxonase

Abstract

The present invention provides a pharmaceutical formulation comprising paraoxonase (PON), a purification and stabilization method of PON, and an agent for prophylactic and/or therapeutic treatment of a disease resulting from ischemia reperfusion and/or cerebral infarction containing PON as an active ingredient.

         2 . Purified paraoxonase having a specific activity of not less than 500 U/A 280 . 
     
     
         3 . The purified paraoxonase according to  claim 2 , which has a specific activity in a range of 500 to 2000 U/A 280 . 
     
     
         4 . The purified paraoxonase according to  claim 2 , which has a specific activity in a range of 500 to 1800 U/A 280 . 
     
     
         5 . An intravenous pharmaceutical preparation, comprising:
 purified paraoxonase having a specific activity of not less than 500 U/A 280 .   
     
     
         6 . The intravenous pharmaceutical preparation according to  claim 5 , wherein the purified paraoxonase has a specific activity in a range of 500 to 2000 U/A 280 . 
     
     
         7 . The intravenous pharmaceutical preparation according to  claim 5 , wherein the purified paraoxonase has a specific activity in a range of 500 to 1800 U/A 280 . 
     
     
         8 . An intravenous pharmaceutical preparation, comprising:
 an effective amount of paraoxonase in combination with an effective amount of 3-[(3-cholamidopropyl)dimethylammonio]-1-propanesulfonate to improve one of prognosis, neurological symptoms and motor dysfunction of a disease resulting from cerebral infarction in a patient in need thereof,   wherein the paraoxonase is a purified paraoxonase having a specific activity of not less than 500 U/A 280 .   
     
     
         9 . The intravenous pharmaceutical preparation of  claim 8 , further comprising:
 a polyol.   
     
     
         10 . The intravenous pharmaceutical preparation of  claim 8 , further comprising:
 glycerol.   
     
     
         11 . The intravenous pharmaceutical preparation of  claim 8 , wherein the paraoxonase is a purified paraoxonase having a specific activity in a range of 500 to 2000 U/A 280 . 
     
     
         12 . The intravenous pharmaceutical preparation of  claim 8 , wherein the paraoxonase is a purified paraoxonase having a specific activity in a range of 500 to 1800 U/A 280 .
