Abstract

A display includes a pixel array part with pixels that each have at least one transistor whose conduction state is controlled by a drive signal input to a control terminal, and a scanner including a plurality of buffers that are formed of transistors. The buffers correspond to a pixel arrangement and output a drive signal to the control terminals of the transistors of the pixels. The transistors of the pixels and the transistors of the buffers are formed through irradiation with laser light that is moved for scanning in a predetermined direction and has a predetermined wavelength. The transistors in the buffers are formed in such a way that the channel length direction of the transistors is set parallel to the scan direction of the laser light.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A display comprising:
 a pixel array part that includes a plurality of pixel, each of the plurality of pixel including
 (a) a first switching transistor whose conduction state is controlled by a first drive signal received at a control terminal of the first switching transistor through a first scanning line,
 (b) a second switching transistor whose conduction state is controlled by a second drive signal received at a control terminal of the second switching transistor through a second scanning line, and
 (c) a third switching transistor whose conduction state is controlled by a third drive signal received at a control terminal of the third switching transistor through a third scanning line,
 (d) a drive transistor,
 (e) a capacitor, and
 (f) an light emitting element;
   a first scanner configured to supply the first drive signal; a second scanner configured to supply the second drive signal; and a third scanner configured to supply the third drive signal, wherein the first switching transistor is configured to supply a video signal to the capacitor, the second switching transistor is connected between a power supply line and the drive transistor, the third switching transistor is connected between a first potential line and an anode of the light emitting element, the first scanner and the second scanner are arranged on a first side of the pixel array part, the third scanner is arranged on a second side of the pixel array part, the first scanner is arranged between the second scanner and the pixel array part, the first scanner includes a buffer that comprises transistors that have a channel length extending in a column direction, and the transistors of the first scanner are formed through irradiation with laser light that is moved for scanning in the column direction.

         2 . The display of claim 1 , wherein the second scanner includes a buffer that comprises transistors that have a channel length extending in the column direction.
