Abstract

An adequate display operation control in accordance with the external world situation is realized. For example, where a user wears the wearing unit of a spectacle-shaped or head-worn unit, the user is made to be able to view any type of image on the display section immediately in front of the eyes, and provided with taken images, reproduced images, and received images. At the point, a control relative to various display operations such as on/off of the display operation, display operation mode, and source chage is carried out based on external world information.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . (canceled)

         2 . A display apparatus, comprising:
a wearing member having at least one eye piece, the wearing member configured to be fitted around a head of a user; and circuitry configured to:
control a display of a highlight with respect to an object that is provided within the at least one eye piece.

3 . The display apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the object is displayed on a display of the at least one eye piece.

4 . The display apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein
the circuitry is configured to receive an image from an external device, and the object is included in the received image.

5 . The display apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the at least one eye piece includes a display to display a field of view of the user.

6 . The display apparatus according to claim 5 , wherein the object corresponds to at least one of an object from the field of view of the user.

7 . The display apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the display of the highlight includes increasing a brightness level of only a portion of an image that is provided on the at least one eye piece.

8 . The display apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein the object to be highlighted is provided within the portion of the image.

9 . The display apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the display of the highlight includes decreasing a brightness level of only a portion of an image that surrounds the object.

10 . The display apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the display of the highlight includes changing a portion of an image that surrounds the object to only have white and black colors, while keeping a remaining portion of the image to have a full spectrum of colors, the remaining portion of the image including the object.

11 . The display apparatus according to claim 10 , wherein an area of the remaining portion of the image is greater than an area of the object.

12 . The display apparatus according to claim 10 , wherein the remaining portion of the image has a circular shape.

13 . The display apparatus according to claim 10 , wherein the object is positioned in a center of the remaining portion of the image.

14 . The display apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the display of the highlight includes displaying a highlighting frame or cursor adjacent to the object.

15 . The display apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the display of the highlight includes displaying a highlighting frame around the object.

16 . The display apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the display of the highlight includes displaying a pointer mark adjacent to the object.

17 . The display apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the display of the highlight includes displaying a character image adjacent to the object.

18 . The display apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the object corresponds to one of a person, an animal, a structure, a natural object, or a device.

19 . The display apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the circuitry is further configured to:
change a portion of an image that surrounds the object to only have white and black colors and decrease a brightness level of the portion of the image, and keep a remaining portion of the image to have a full spectrum of colors, the remaining portion of the image including the object.

20 . A method for controlling a display apparatus, the display apparatus including a wearing member having at least one eye piece, the wearing member configured to be fitted around a head of a user, the method comprising:
controlling, by circuitry, a display of a highlight with respect to an object that is provided within the at least one eye piece.

21 . A non-transitory computer readable medium having a computer program recorded thereon, the computer program configured to perform a method when executed on a display apparatus, the display apparatus including a wearing member having at least one eye piece, the wearing member configured to be fitted around a head of a user, the method comprising:
controlling a display of a highlight with respect to an object that is provided within the at least one eye piece.
