Abstract
The present invention discloses the use in rotomolding or slush molding applications of a composition comprising a polyolefin, a processing aid and optionally a UV-stabilizer.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 7 . (canceled)
8 . An article prepared from a composition comprising:
a polyolefin; and from 0.001% by weight to 1% by weight of a densification aid comprising a polyether-block copolyamide.
9 . The article of claim 8 , wherein the article is a slush molded article.
10 . The article of claim 8 , wherein the article is a rotomolded article.
11 . The article of claim 8 , wherein the composition further comprises from 0.025% by weight to 0.500% by weight of one or more UV-stabilizers.
12 . The article of claim 8 , wherein the densification aid comprises the polyether-block copolyamide as a major component and further comprises a minor component selected from a group consisting of thermoplastic polyurethane, polyetherester, polyethylene glycol, and fluoropolymer.
13 . The article of claim 8 , wherein the polyolefin is a homopolymer of ethylene or a copolymer of ethylene.
14 . The article of claim 8 , wherein the polyolefin is a homopolymer of propylene or a copolymer of propylene.
15 . The article of claim 8 , wherein the composition further comprises a polymer selected from a group consisting of a polyamide, a copolyamide, a second polyolefin that is different than the polyolefin, a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl alcohol, a polystyrene, a polycarbonate, and a polyvinyl chloride.
16 . The article of claim 8 , wherein the polyether-block copolyamide has a polyether content within ranging from 10 to 70 weight percent.
17 . A slush molded or rotomolded article prepared from a composition comprising:
a polyolefin; from 0.001% by weight to 1% by weight of a densification aid comprising a polyether-block copolyamide; and from 0.025% by weight to 0.500% by weight of one or more UV-stabilizers.
18 . A slush molded or rotomolded article prepared from a composition consisting essentially of:
from 99 to 99.999% by weight of:
a polyolefin, or a polyolefin composition comprising from 50 to 99% by weight of a first polyolefin and from 1 to 50% by weight of a polymer selected from a group consisting of a polyamide, a copolyamide, a second polyolefin that is different than the first polyolefin, a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl alcohol, a polystyrene, a polycarbonate, and a polyvinyl chloride;
from 0.001% by weight to 1% by weight of a densification aid comprising a polyether-block copolyamide; and from 0.025% by weight to 0.500% by weight of one or more UV-stabilizers.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
