Laptop Computer Bag with Detachable Purse

Abstract

The Laptop Computer Bag with a Detachable Purse is designed to meet the needs of a female traveler or commuter, while minimizing the number of bags that have to be carried. When detached, either bag can be utilized independently, but the primary focus of the detached bags is the purse. It is totally disguised as a part of a joined bag and appears as a single unit, making it professional in appearance for the business woman.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A hand carried travel bag, comprising:
 a) A laptop computer bag, made with a lightweight outer fabric reinforced shell, with an open form padding liner and satin or satin-like inner-lining, for ease of computer entry;
 Constructed with the pull side of a separating zipper sewn into edge seam of right, bottom and left side of one side of the bag and a standard zipper closure across the top; it has a top border of contrasting material to tie it to the accompanying purse; 
 Bag can be constructed to fit a standard computer but can be customized to accommodate various sizes, as needed by the user, 
 The bag has one adjustable shoulder strap which can be removed, attached with metal hardware just below the top on the sides of the bag; also has two handle straps, located center top on each flat side of the bag which are permanent; 
   b) A purse is made of lightweight outer fabric with a reinforced shell, with an satin or satin-like inner-lining; interior zippered/open pockets and/or card slots;
 Constructed of the same fabric as the top border of the laptop computer bag, with the non-pull side of a separating zipper sewn into the edge seam of the right, bottom and left side of one side of the bag and a standard zipper closure across the top; a fabric flange (fold) is created in the construction of the seam, to hide the zipper track when the purse is detached from the laptop computer bag, making the zipper part virtually invisible; 
 The bag has one adjustable shoulder strap which can be removed, attached with metal hardware which can be lowered into the bag, making them invisible when the strap is detached.
