Method and System for Updating a Medical Device
Abstract
The present disclosure includes methods, devices and systems for establishing a connection between a medical device and a remote computing device, receiving an upgrade command at the medical device, storing a current version of persistent data and a current version of executable code in a first storage area of the medical device, transmitting at least the current version of the persistent data to the remote computing device, receiving a second format of the current version of the persistent data and an upgraded version of executable code at the medical device, storing the second format of the current version of the persistent data and the upgraded version of the executable code in a second storage area of the medical device, and executing the upgraded version of the executable code with the second format of the current version of the persistent data.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . (canceled)
2 . A machine-executed method of continuous analyte monitoring for a host to facilitate management of the host's analyte concentration level, the method comprising:
transmitting, using a computing device, an identification of a version of an operating system of the computing device and/or a continuous analyte monitoring (CAM) software application installed on the computing device to a remote server, the CAM software application comprising instructions, when executed by a processor of the computing device, that cause the computing device to process and display analyte concentration information; receiving a response from the remote server indicative of a compatibility check of the version of the operating system with the version of the CAM software application; and producing an output responsive to the response.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the output comprises continuing operating the CAM module.
4 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the output comprises disabling one or more features of the CAM module.
5 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the output comprises preventing operation of the CAM module.
6 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the output comprises displaying a message to a user of the electronic device indicative of the compatibility check.
7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the message instructs the user to change at least one of the operating system and the CAM module to a different version.
8 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the CAM module is a software application stored on the electronic device.
9 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the transmitting is programically initiated responsive to detecting that a new operating system has been installed on the computing device.
10 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the remote server comprises a list of compatible versions of operating systems with version of the CAM software application stored in computer memory.
11 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising initiating a notification to the computing device regarding the compatibility of a new version of the operating system with the version of the CAM software application installed on the computing device prior to the new version of the operating system being installed on the computing device.
12 . A system to facilitate management of a analyte concentration level, the system comprising:
continuous analyte sensor electronics coupled to a continuous analyte sensor that generates data indicative of an analyte concentration of a host; a computing device in communication with the continuous analyte sensor, the computing device comprising an operating system and an analyte monitoring (CAM) software application installed on the computing device, wherein the computing device is configured to programically transmit an identification of a version of an operating system of the computing device and/or a continuous analyte monitoring (CAM) software application installed on the computing device to a remote server, receive a response from the remote server indicative of a compatibility check of the version of the operating system with the version of the CAM software application, and produce an output responsive to the response.
13 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the output comprises continuing operating the CAM module.
14 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the output comprises disabling one or more features of the CAM module.
15 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the output comprises preventing operation of the CAM module.
16 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the output comprises displaying a message to a user of the electronic device indicative of the compatibility check.
17 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the message instructs the user to change at least one of the operating system and the CAM module to a different version.
18 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the transmitting is programically initiated responsive to the computing device detecting that a new operating system has been installed on the computing device.
19 . The system of claim 12 , further comprising the remote server, and wherein the remote server comprises a list of compatible versions of operating systems with the version of the CAM software application stored in computer memory.
20 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the remote server is configured to programically initiate a notification to the computing device regarding the compatibility of a new version of the operating system with the version of the CAM software application installed on the computing device prior to the new version of the operating system being installed on the computing device.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
