Cylindrical roller bearing
Abstract
A cylindrical roller bearing including an inner ring including a raceway surface on an outer periphery thereof an outer ring including a raceway surface on an inner periphery thereof a plurality of cylindrical rollers rollably disposed between the raceway surface of the inner ring and the raceway surface of the outer ring; and a cage for circumferentially retaining the cylindrical rollers at predetermined intervals. The cage is circumferentially provided with a plurality of guide pieces on an outer periphery of the cage at predetermined intervals, a guide piece of the plurality of guide pieces projecting toward the raceway surface of the outer ring to form a sliding contact portion which makes sliding contact with the raceway surface for guiding the rotation of the cage and for removing an excess lubricant on the raceway surface.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A cylindrical roller bearing comprising:
an inner ring including a raceway surface on an outer periphery thereof: an outer ring including a raceway surface on an inner periphery thereof; a plurality of cylindrical rollers rollably disposed between the raceway surface of the inner ring and the raceway surface of the outer ring; and a cage for circumferentially retaining the cylindrical rollers at predetermined intervals, wherein the cage is circumferentially provided with a plurality of guide pieces on an outer periphery of the cage at predetermined intervals, a guide piece of the plurality of guide pieces projecting toward the raceway surface of the outer ring to form a sliding contact portion which makes sliding contact with the raceway surface for guiding the rotation of the cage and for removing an excess lubricant on the raceway surface, wherein a portion of the guide piece that makes sliding contact with the raceway surface has a shorter axial full length than an axial full length of the raceway surface, and wherein the raceway surface includes a region in which each end of axially opposite ends of the raceway surface is not in contact with the guide piece, the region begin provided between the axially opposite ends and the guide piece.
2 . The cylindrical roller bearing according to claim 1 , wherein a portion of the guide piece that makes sliding contact with the raceway surface has a shorter axial full length than an axial full length of the raceway surface.
3 . The cylindrical roller bearing according to claim 1 , wherein a portion of the guide piece that makes sliding contact with the raceway surface has a shorter axial full length than an axial full length of the cylindrical roller.
4 . The cylindrical roller bearing according to claim 1 , wherein the guide piece makes linear contact with the raceway surface.
5 . The cylindrical roller bearing according to claim 1 , wherein the guide piece includes a recess formed at an edge thereof for holding therein the lubricant present for the raceway surface.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
