Abstract

Disclosed are boot frames comprising: a base; an ankle support; and at least one strap configured to secure a boot to the boot frame; wherein the base comprises: a) at least one side support, b) a toe binding, and c) a heel binding.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A boot frame comprising:
 a base, wherein the base comprises:
 a) at least one side support; 
 b) a toe binding; and 
 c) a heel binding; 
   an ankle support; and   at least one strap configured to secure a boot to the boot frame.   
     
     
         2 . The boot frame of  claim 1 , wherein the frame comprises one or more material selected from the group consisting of iron, steel, titanium, a composite metal, wood, a plastic, carbon fiber, fiber glass, hard plastic, and rubber. 
     
     
         3 . The boot frame of  claim 1 , wherein the base comprises two substantially parallel bars. 
     
     
         4 . The boot frame of  claim 1 , wherein the base comprises one or more material selected from the group consisting of iron, steel, titanium, a composite metal, wood, a plastic, carbon fiber, fiber glass, hard plastic, and rubber. 
     
     
         5 . The boot frame of  claim 1 , wherein the toe binding is configured to attached the boot frame to a binding on a ski. 
     
     
         6 . The boot frame of  claim 1 , wherein the top surface of toe binding is higher than that of the base. 
     
     
         7 . The boot frame of  claim 1 , wherein the toe binding comprises one or more material selected from the group consisting of iron, steel, titanium, a composite metal, wood, a plastic, carbon fiber, fiber glass, hard plastic, and rubber. 
     
     
         8 . The boot frame of  claim 1 , wherein the heel binding is configured to attached the boot frame to a binding on a ski. 
     
     
         9 . The boot frame of  claim 1 , wherein the heel binding comprises one or more material selected from the group consisting of iron, steel, titanium, a composite metal, wood, a plastic, carbon fiber, fiber glass, hard plastic, and rubber. 
     
     
         10 . The boot frame of  claim 1 , wherein the ankle support comprises a curved bar connected at both ends to the base. 
     
     
         11 . The boot frame of  claim 10 , wherein the ankle support comprises two or more curved bars, each connected at both ends to the base. 
     
     
         12 . The boot frame of  claim 1 , wherein the ankle support comprises one or more material selected from the group consisting of iron, steel, titanium, a composite metal, wood, a plastic, carbon fiber, fiber glass, hard plastic, and rubber. 
     
     
         13 . The boot frame of  claim 1 , wherein the calf support comprises a curved bar connected at both ends to the base. 
     
     
         14 . The boot frame of  claim 13  wherein the calf support comprises two or more curved bars, each connected at both ends to the base. 
     
     
         15 . The boot frame of  claim 1 , wherein the calf support comprises one or more material selected from the group consisting of iron, steel, titanium, a composite metal, wood, a plastic, carbon fiber, fiber glass, hard plastic, and rubber. 
     
     
         16 . The boot frame of  claim 1 , wherein the strap is connected at one end to the base. 
     
     
         17 . The boot frame of  claim 1 , comprising a toe strap, an ankle strap, and a calf trap.
