Method of playing a card game

Abstract

A method of playing a card game including the steps of: providing a plurality of player areas; at least one player placing a bet in one of the player areas to participate in the card game; dealing at least two initial cards to the player's player area and to the dealer; the player either standing on the initial cards dealt or placing an additional bet to exchange at least one of the initial cards for an equal number of replacement cards; the dealer either standing on or exchanging at least one of the initial cards dealt to the dealer, based on the value of the initial cards dealt to the dealer in comparison to a pre-determined value; determining an outcome of the initial and exchange bets by comparing the player's hand and the dealers hand, which include the initial cards dealt, any replacement cards exchanged, plus any additional cards.

         11 . A method of playing a card game comprising the steps of;
 providing a playing area divided into a plurality of player areas;   at least one player placing an initial bet in a bet area of one of said player areas to participate in the game;   dealing at least two initial cards, via a dealer, to the at least one player's player area and at least two initial cards to the dealer;   the at least one player either standing on the at least two initial cards dealt to the player's player area or placing an additional bet in an exchange bet area of the player's player area, to exchange at least one of the at least two initial cards dealt to the player area for an equal number of replacement cards;   the dealer either standing on the at least two initial cards dealt to the dealer, if a value of the at least two initial cards dealt to the dealer is either equal to or above a pre-determined minimum value, or exchanging at least one of the at least two initial, cards dealt to the dealer for an equal number of replacement cards, if the value of the at least two initial cards dealt to the dealer is below the pre-determined minimum value;   determining an outcome of the initial bet and any exchange bet by comparing the at least one player's hand, comprising the at least two initial cards dealt thereto and any replacement cards exchanged thereby, plus any either additional individual or common cards, with the dealer's hand, comprising the at least two initial cards dealt thereto and any replacement cards exchanged thereby, plus any either additional individual or common cards.   
     
     
         12 . The method of playing a card game according to  claim 11 , wherein the player may exchange any one or more of the at least two initial cards originally dealt to the player's player area. 
     
     
         13 . The method of playing a card game according to  claim 11 , wherein the player may exchange only specified card or cards of the at least two initial cards originally dealt to the player's playing area. 
     
     
         14 . The method of playing a card game according to  claim 11 , wherein the player must retain at least one of the at least two initial cards originally dealt the player's player area. 
     
     
         15 . The method of playing a card game according to  claim 11 , wherein the player discards the card or cards he wishes to exchange before the replacement cards are dealt to the player. 
     
     
         16 . The method of playing a card game according to  claim 11 , wherein each player has more than one option of exchanging one or more cards. 
     
     
         17 . The method of playing a card game according to  claim 11 , wherein the exchange bet is of equal value to the player's initial bet. 
     
     
         18 . The method of playing a card game according to  claim 11 , wherein winning initial bets and any exchange bets are paid out at specified odds. 
     
     
         19 . The method of playing a card game according to  claim 11 , wherein the card game is based on at least one of Three Card Poker, Three Card Low-Ball Draw Poker, Five Card Stud, Texas Holdem Poker, Draw Baccarat and Blackjack. 
     
     
         20 . The method of playing a card game according to  claim 11 , wherein the card game is either played or reproduced in an electronic format, by remote betting on a world wide web, on an internet, on a local area network, on a remote network, by way of scratch-card, by way of lottery, as a family game, and as a fun game. 
     
     
         21 . A method of playing a card game utilizing computer program operating a computer device and player interactive device, the computer device being configured to execute computer program instructions to conduct the steps of:
 providing, via the player interactive device, a card game playing area that is divided into a dealers hand area and a plurality of player areas for use by at least one player;   receiving an initial bet from at least one player placed in a player bet area of a respective one of said player areas, via the player interactive device, to initiate participation of the at least one player in the card game which comprises the steps of:
 a dealer dealing at least two cards, to the player area of the at least one player and at least two cards to the dealer hand area; 
 the at least one player having an option to either stand on the at least two cards originally dealt to the player area of the at least one player or to place an additional bet in an exchange bet area of the player area of the at east one player, to exchange at least one of the at least two cards originally dealt to the player area of the at least one player for an equal number of new player cards; 
 the dealer either standing on the at least two cards originally dealt to the dealer hand area, if a value of the at least two cards originally dealt to the dealer hand area is either equal to or above a pre-determined minimum value, or exchanging at least one of the at least two cards originally dealt to the dealer hand area for an equal number of new dealer cards, if the value of the at least two cards originally dealt to the dealer hand area is below the pre-determined minimum value; and 
 comparing a hand of the at least one player, which comprises the at least two cards originally dealt to the player hand area of the at least one player and the new player cards plus any either additional individual cards or common cards, with a hand of the dealer, which comprises the at least two cards originally dealt to the dealer hand area and the new dealer cards plus any either additional individual cards or common cards to determine an outcome of the initial bet and any exchange bet.
