Printing apparatus which is capable of editing printing data, and a printing method for use with the printing apparatus

Abstract

A printing apparatus, including a user input unit which receives a first user command to initiate a printing operation, a display unit which displays information relating to the printing operation, a printing unit which performs printing with respect to printing data, and a controller which controls the display unit to display reference information of the printing data before the printing, and which controls the printing unit to perform the printing according to a second user command.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A printing apparatus, comprising:
 a display unit which displays an image;   an image processor which performs an image process with respect to the image; and   a controller which controls the image processor to display the image corresponding to an object with respect to a predetermined printing operation on the display unit in response to a command relating to the printing operation and to edit the displayed image according to user command, and performs a function relating to the printing operation for the object to correspond to the edited image.   
     
     
         2 . The printing apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the display unit further displays a user interface comprising a plurality of items enabling selection of a plurality of options to edit the image. 
     
     
         3 . The printing apparatus according to  claim 2 , wherein the display unit revises the displayed image according to selection of at least one of the plurality of items. 
     
     
         4 . The printing apparatus according to  claim 2 , wherein the display unit rotates at least one section of the displayed image according to selection of at least one of the plurality of items. 
     
     
         5 . The printing apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the controller generates concerned printing data of the object corresponding to the edited image. 
     
     
         6 . The printing apparatus according to  claim 5 , further comprising a printing unit which performs printing with respect to the printing data, and
 wherein the controller controls the printing unit to perform the function relating to the printing operation for the object to correspond to the edited image.   
     
     
         7 . The printing apparatus according to  claim 5 , wherein the displayed image is corresponding to at least one of a plurality of pages of the printing data. 
     
     
         8 . A printing method, comprising:
 receiving a command relating to a predetermined printing operation;   displaying an image corresponding to an object with respect to the printing operation;   editing the displayed image according to user command; and   performing a function relating to the printing operation for the object to correspond to the edited image.   
     
     
         9 . The printing method according to  claim 8 , further comprising:
 displaying a user interface comprising a plurality of items enabling selection of a plurality of options to edit the image, and   receiving the user command through selection of at least one of the plurality of items.   
     
     
         10 . The printing method according to  claim 9 , further comprising revising the displayed image according to selection of at least one of the plurality of items. 
     
     
         11 . The printing method according to  claim 9 , further comprising rotating at least one section of the displayed image according to selection of at least one of the plurality of items. 
     
     
         12 . The printing method according to  claim 8 , further comprising generating concerned printing data of the object corresponding to the edited image. 
     
     
         13 . The printing method according to  claim 12 , wherein performing the function relating to the printing operation comprises performing printing the printing data to correspond to the edited image. 
     
     
         14 . The printing method according to  claim 12 , wherein the displayed image is corresponding to at least one of a plurality of pages of the printing data.
