Sock piece

Abstract

A sock piece is provided. The sock piece may include a flat sole base, a reversible sock and cooperating footwear. The sole base may have a plurality of fasteners. The plurality of fasteners may removably attach to a plurality of straps to form a sandal; removably attach to the cooperating footwear to form padded footwear; and removably attach to the reversible sock to form a sock configured to cover substantially all of the wearer's foot. The reversible sock may receive at least one additional sole base to modify the air circulation, odor control and/or padding as the wearer so desires.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A foot region of footwear, comprising:
 a sole base having a plurality of male fasteners; and   a plurality of straps having a plurality of female fasteners.   
     
     
         2 . The foot region of footwear of  claim 1 , wherein the plurality of straps are configured to form a sock sandal by mating at least one complementary male fastener and female fastener. 
     
     
         3 . The foot region of footwear of  claim 1 , further providing a cooperating footwear, wherein the cooperating footwear has a plurality of female fasteners configured to mate with at least one male fastener. 
     
     
         4 . The foot region of footwear of  claim 3 , wherein the cooperating footwear and the sole base are configured to form a shoe. 
     
     
         5 . The foot region of footwear of  claim 1 , further providing a reversible sock configured to receive at least one sole base. 
     
     
         6 . The foot region of footwear of  claim 5 , wherein the reversible sock further provides a plurality of female fasteners along a portion of the base of the reversible sock. 
     
     
         7 . The foot region of footwear of  claim 6 , wherein the reversible sock and at least one sole base are configured to form a long sock. 
     
     
         8 . A method of adapting the air circulation, odor control and padding of a reversible long sock, comprising:
 providing at least one sole base having a plurality of male fasteners;   providing a reversible sock configured to receive at least one sole base; and   snugly securing the at least one sole base in the reversible sock.   
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 8 , further providing reversing the long sock so that the at least one sole base is disposed on the outside surface relative to the placement of a wearer's foot. 
     
     
         10 . A method of configuring a sandal from a foot region of footwear that can also be configured to form a shoe and separately a long sock, comprising:
 providing at least one sole base having a plurality of male fasteners;   providing a plurality of straps having a plurality of female fasteners; and   mating the complementary male and female fasteners so that at least one strap comfortably secures a foot of a wearer to the at least one sole base.
