Abstract

A siphon, particularly an odour trap for a waterless urinal, a floor drain and/or a shower tray or the like, including a tubular inlet and at least one outlet, the outlet opening of which can be opened and closed to a drain that can be connected by a valve. The valve includes a valve lever mounted in an articulated manner in the region of the inlet, which has an associated valve surface, wherein the valve surface seals the outlet opening in a form-fit and/or force-fit manner.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
. A siphon, in particular an odor trap for a urinal, a floor drain and/or a shower tray or the like, with a tubular inlet ( 1 ) and at least one outlet ( 2 ), the outlet opening ( 3 ) of which can be opened and closed in relation to a connectable drain pipe by means of a valve ( 4 ), characterized in that the valve ( 4 ) comprises a valve lever ( 6 ) which is mounted in an articulated manner in the region of the inlet ( 1 ) and has an associated valve surface ( 7 ), wherein the valve surface ( 7 ) sealingly closes the outlet opening ( 3 ) in a form-fitting and/or force-fitting manner.

. The siphon as claimed in claim 1 , characterized in that, in the use position, the outlet opening ( 3 ) points in a direction oriented laterally in relation.

. The siphon as claimed in claim 1 or 2 , characterized in that a seal ( 10 ) is arranged between the valve surface ( 7 ) and a sealing surface ( 11 ) of the outlet, said seal surrounding the outlet opening ( 3 ) in particular annularly and preferably being manufactured from an elastomer.

. The siphon as claimed in claim 3 , characterized in that the valve lever ( 6 ) comprises finger-shaped seals ( 10 ) which are formed, in particular integrally, with the valve lever and are manufactured from any material, for example, an elastomer.

. The siphon as claimed in claim 3 or 4 , characterized in that the finger-shaped seals ( 10 ) are arranged distributed on the outer circumference and/or over the surface thereof, in particular distributed about the outlet opening ( 3 ).

. The siphon as claimed in one of claims 1 to 5 , characterized in that the valve surface ( 7 ) and the sealing surface ( 11 ) have corresponding geometries, in particular the outer sealing surface ( 11 ) and the inner valve surface ( 7 ) correspond, or vice versa.

. The siphon as claimed in one of claims 1 to 6 , characterized in that the valve surface ( 7 ) is part of a valve cover ( 9 ) which is connected to the valve lever ( 6 ).

. The siphon as claimed in one of claims 1 to 7 , characterized in that the valve lever ( 6 ) and/or the valve cover ( 9 ) are/is acted upon by an actuating member, in particular a spring ( 22 ), a solenoid device, or a piston-cylinder arrangement, for opening and/or closing the outlet opening ( 3 ).

. The siphon as claimed in one of claims 1 to 8 , characterized in that the valve cover ( 9 ) is coupled to a free end of the valve lever ( 6 ) preferably via a joint in such a manner that said valve cover extends on both sides of the joint between the valve lever ( 6 ) and the siphon and also beyond the free end of the valve lever ( 6 ), or on one side of the joint between the valve lever ( 6 ) and the siphon.

. The siphon as claimed in one of claims 1 to 9 , characterized in that the joint between the siphon and the valve lever ( 6 ) and/or between the valve lever ( 6 ) and the valve plate ( 7 ) is designed as a hinge joint ( 5 , 8 ).

. The siphon as claimed in one of claims 1 to 10 , characterized in that at least one spacer cam ( 15 ) which is effective for closing the outlet opening ( 3 ) is arranged between the valve lever ( 6 ) and the valve cover ( 9 ).

. The siphon as claimed in one of claims 1 to 11 , characterized in that the joint in the region of the inlet ( 1 ) is formed on a clip ( 16 ) which acts, in particular in a force-fitting manner, on the siphon, wherein the valve lever ( 6 ) and the valve flap ( 9 ) extend on the outer side of the siphon.

. The siphon as claimed in one of claims 1 to 12 , characterized in that the sealing surface ( 11 ) is curved convexly in its longitudinal extent.

. The siphon as claimed in one of claims 1 to 13 , characterized in that the inlet ( 1 ) is formed by an end-side or lateral opening in a pipe ( 18 ), the further profile of which has at least one bend ( 19 ), the free end of which forms the outlet opening ( 3 ) which is preferably surrounded by the sealing surface ( 11 ).

. The siphon as claimed in one of claims 1 to 14 , characterized in that the pipe ( 18 ) has a Y-shaped profile.

. The siphon as claimed in one of claims 1 to 15 , characterized in that the inlet ( 1 ) is formed by an end-side opening in a pipe, the opposite end side of which, from which a cone or a pyramid extends into the interior of the pipe, is closed, wherein at least one outlet opening ( 3 ) is formed on the circumferential side in the region of the closed end side.

. The siphon as claimed in one of claims 1 to 16 , characterized in that the inlet has a bulging cross section.

. The use of a siphon as claimed in claim 1 on an, in particular waterless, urinal and/or a floor drain ( 27 ) and/or a bidet and/or a wash basin and/or a shower tray.

. A floor drain as claimed in claim 18 , characterized in that an adapter plate ( 26 ) which is provided with markings ( 28 ) and/or groove-shaped depressions ( 29 ) is arranged on the upper side, in particular on the inlet ( 1 ), wherein the markings ( 28 ) and/or depressions ( 29 ) serve as predetermined breaking points and/or aids for severing excess lengths at the edges in order to reduce the size of the adapter plate ( 26 ).
