System and method for providing and modifying a personalized face chart

Abstract

A system and method for providing a personalized digital face chart. A digital image of a subject's face is obtained. A facial region of the digital image is identified from a background region of the digital image. A line drawing is generated based on at least the facial region of the digital image. The line drawing is stylized to generate a personalized digital face chart. A user interface configured to accept at least one face chart modification from a user is provided. The personalized digital face chart is modified based on the at least one face chart modification.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A computer-implemented method for providing a personalized digital face chart comprising:
 obtaining a digital image of a subject;   identifying a facial region of said digital image;   generating a personalized digital face chart comprising a line drawing based on said facial region of said digital image;   identifying one or more facial features on said personalized digital face chart; and   digitally applying at least one effect to simulate the application of at least one applied product to at least one of said one or more facial features of said personalized digital face chart of said subject.   
     
     
         2 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 1 , wherein said personalized digital face chart further comprises a text area comprising one or more facial feature text labels. 
     
     
         3 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 1 , wherein said personalized digital face chart further comprises a text area comprising product information. 
     
     
         4 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 1 , wherein said personalized digital face chart further comprises a text area comprising product application instructions for applying said at least one effect to said subject. 
     
     
         5 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 1 , further comprising stylizing said line drawing based on at least one style parameter. 
     
     
         6 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 1 , wherein said digitally applying said at least one effect comprises digitally applying an entire look, and wherein said at least one product comprises a set of products for achieving said entire look. 
     
     
         7 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 1 , further comprising generating at least one playable digital media file comprising a time-lapse application of said at least one effect to said personalized digital face chart. 
     
     
         8 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 7 , wherein said playable digital media file comprises at least one of audio instructions and displayed text instructions for applying said at least one effect. 
     
     
         9 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 generating a makeover image based on said digital image by applying said at least one effect to said digital image in a photorealistic manner.   
     
     
         10 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 9 , wherein said personalized digital face chart further comprises an image display area comprising at least one of said digital image and said makeover image. 
     
     
         11 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 providing a virtual makeover user interface enabling a user to select and apply said at least one effect to said digital image, wherein said personalized digital face chart further comprises a list of products corresponding to said at least one effect.   
     
     
         12 . A computer-implemented method for providing a personalized digital face chart comprising:
 obtaining an original digital image of a subject's face;   generating a line drawing based on said original digital image;   identifying one or more facial features on said line drawing;   digitally applying at least one effect to simulate the application of at least one applied product to at least one of said one or more facial features on said line drawing to create a makeover line drawing and on said original digital image to create a makeover image; and   generating a personalized digital face chart comprising said makeover image and said makeover line drawing.   
     
     
         13 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 12 , wherein said personalized digital face chart further comprises a text area comprising one or more facial feature text labels. 
     
     
         14 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 12 , wherein said personalized digital face chart further comprises a text area comprising product information. 
     
     
         15 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 12 , wherein said personalized digital face chart further comprises a text area comprising product application instructions for applying said at least one effect to said subject. 
     
     
         16 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 12 , further comprising stylizing said line drawing based on at least one style parameter. 
     
     
         17 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 12 , wherein said digitally applying said at least one effect comprises digitally applying an entire look, and wherein said at least one product comprises a set of products for achieving said entire look. 
     
     
         18 . A computer-implemented method for providing a personalized digital face chart comprising:
 obtaining an original digital image of a subject's face;   generating a line drawing based on said original digital image;   digitally applying at least one effect to simulate the application of at least one applied product to at least said line drawing to create a makeover line drawing and on said original digital image to create a makeover image; and   generating a personalized digital face chart comprising said makeover image and said makeover line drawing.   
     
     
         19 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 18 , further comprising stylizing said line drawing based on at least one style parameter. 
     
     
         20 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 18 , further comprising generating a playable digital media file that includes a time lapse application of said at least one effect in a photorealistic manner to said digital image.
