Abstract
A method and apparatus is disclosed for a rechargeable fire starter and a long burning fuel. The disclosure relates to a rechargeable fire starter and long burning fuel. The rechargeable fire starter and long burning fuel may comprise an absorbent having a porous mineral, or a combination of one or more porous minerals along with wood pellets. The absorbent may then be saturated with a flammable liquid. This combination provides a rechargeable fire starter and long burning fuel that is relatively impervious to moisture.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 32 . (canceled)
33 . A rechargeable fire starter, comprising:
an absorbent comprising a plurality of discrete porous mineral particles; wherein the absorbent is saturated with a flammable liquid; and wherein the exterior of the discrete porous mineral particles is coated with a solid flammable sealant.
34 . The rechargeable fire starter of claim 33 , wherein the porous mineral particles comprise one or more of the following: perlite, vermiculite, sodium silicate hydrate, pumice stone, charcoal and obsidian.
35 . The rechargeable fire starter of claim 33 , wherein the flammable liquid comprises a flammable liquid hydrocarbon.
36 . The rechargeable fire starter of claim 33 , wherein the flammable liquid comprises a flammable liquid hydrocarbon comprising one or more of the following: ethanol, diesel fuel, kerosene, gasoline, methanol, and liquid paraffin.
37 . The rechargeable fire starter of claim 33 , wherein the solid flammable sealant is wax.
38 . The rechargeable fire starter of claim 33 , wherein the solid flammable sealant is paraffin wax.
39 . The rechargeable fire starter of claim 33 , wherein the fire starter further comprises a combustible fuel source comprising one or more of the following particles: wood, charcoal and coal.
40 . A fire starting system comprising:
a combustible fuel source combined with an absorbent; wherein the absorbent comprises a plurality of discrete porous mineral particles saturated with a flammable liquid, and wherein the exterior of the discrete porous mineral particles is coated with a solid flammable sealant; wherein the absorbent and combustible fuel source are packaged together.
41 . The rechargeable fire starter of claim 40 , wherein the flammable liquid comprises a flammable liquid hydrocarbon.
42 . The rechargeable fire starter of claim 40 , wherein the flammable liquid comprises a flammable liquid hydrocarbon comprising one or more of the following: ethanol, diesel fuel, kerosene, gasoline, methanol, and liquid paraffin.
43 . The fire starting system of claim 40 , wherein the absorbent is in the form of discrete particles.
44 . The rechargeable fire starter of claim 40 , wherein the solid flammable sealant is wax.
45 . The rechargeable fire starter of claim 40 , wherein the solid flammable sealant is paraffin wax.
46 . The fire starting system of claim 40 wherein the combustible fuel source comprises one or more of the following: coal, charcoal and wood.
47 . The fire starting system of claim 40 , wherein the combustible fuel source comprises particles coated with a solid flammable sealant.
48 . The fire starting system of claim 47 , wherein the combustible fuel source comprises particles coated with a solid flammable sealant comprising wax.
49 . The fire starting system of claim 47 , wherein the combustible fuel source comprises particles coated with a solid flammable sealant comprising paraffin wax.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
