Systems for Hanging Articles

Abstract

A system for the display and support of apparel includes a support arm which is attached to a horizontal surface such as a clothing bar or shelf The support arm is positioned perpendicularly relative to the horizontal surface so that hanging apparel hung from the support arm is displayed showing the front of the apparel. The support arm, once attached to the clothing bar is prevented from side-to-side, and swaying movement.

I claim: 
     
         1 . In combination with a clothing support rod, an article for support and display of hanging articles comprising:
 (1) a support arm with clamping member which is adjustably and reversibly clampable to the rod wherein when clamped to the rod, the arm is supported in a fixed position or is constrained to transverse pivoting movement relative to the rod without twisting movement.   
     
     
         2 . The article according to  claim 1  wherein the support arm can be reversibly extended. 
     
     
         3 . In combination with a horizontal attachment surface, an article for support and display of hanging articles comprising:
 (1) a support arm with clamping member which is adjustably and reversibly clampable to the horizontal surface wherein when clamped to the horizontal surface, the arm is supported in a fixed position relative to the horizontal surface without twisting movement.   
     
     
         4 . The article according to  claim 3  wherein the support arm can be reversibly extended.
