Abstract
A method for enhancing anti-abrasion of a belt of a treadmill and an apparatus for practicing the method are disclosed herein. As processing the belt, the belt is installed in the apparatus and a driving device of the apparatus can move the belt. A distributing device of the apparatus scatters solid lubricative material on the surface of the belt. As the belt being moved, the lubricative material is melted by a heating device of the apparatus. When the belt is moved to leave the heating device, the melted lubricative material coagulates and engages with the surface of the belt.

1 . An apparatus capable of liquefying lubricative powder and coagulating the liquefied lubricative powder to engage with a surface of a belt used in a treadmill to enhance anti-abrasion, the apparatus comprising:
a frame adapted to rest on a surface, the frame having a processing zone, the processing zone having an inlet and an outlet; a driving device mounted on the frame for moving the belt from the inlet of the processing zone to the outlet of the processing zone; a distributing device coupled to the frame, the distributing device having a storage portion for storing the lubricative powder and a releasing portion positioned in the processing zone of the frame for releasing the lubricative powder on the surface of the belt; and a heating device coupled to the frame, the heating device having a heating portion and a space to admit the belt passing through, the space positioned closer to the outlet of the processing zone than the releasing portion of the distributing device, the heating portion being capable of heating the space to a temperature to liquefy the lubricative powder.
2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , the distributing device further comprising an allotting mechanism to control the releasing portion of the distributing device to release the lubricative powder at a predetermined frequency.
3 . The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the allotting mechanism has a rod, a motor, and a rectangular hole, the rod coupled in the rectangular hole, the motor is capable of driving the rod to rotate.
4 . The apparatus of claim 3 , the rod further comprising a groove disposed on the peripheral surface thereof.
5 . The apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the groove is substantially axially disposed on the peripheral surface of the rod.
6 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the distributing device has a gap adjusting unit coupled around the releasing portion.
7 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the heating device includes a movable arm, one end of the movable arm is coupled to the heating portion of the heating device, the other thereof is rotatably coupled to the frame.
8 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the space of the heating device is positioned under the heating portion of the heating device.
9 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the driving device controls the surface of the belt to face upward as passing through the processing zone and the releasing portion of the distributing device is positioned above the inner surface of the belt.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
