Abstract

A wireless power transmitter performs a method for supplying power for wireless charging from the wireless power transmitter to a plurality of wireless power receivers. The wireless charging method includes allocating priorities to one or more electronic devices that connect for wireless charging, and supplying wireless power to the one or more electronic devices based on the priorities. Other embodiments may be implemented.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A wireless charging method comprising:
 allocating priorities to one or more electronic devices that connect to a wireless power transmitter for wireless charging; and   supplying wireless power to the one or more electronic devices based on the priorities.   
     
     
         2 . The wireless charging method of  claim 1 , wherein the allocating of the priorities comprises:
 checking whether one or more electronic devices connect which limit a wireless power supply according to a power capacity of the wireless power transmitter; and   allocating the priorities to the one or more electronic devices when the one or more electronic devices connect to the wireless power supply.   
     
     
         3 . The wireless charging method of  claim 2 , wherein the allocating of the priorities comprises allocating the priorities to the one or more electronic devices limiting the wireless power supply based on connection times of the one or more electronic devices. 
     
     
         4 . The wireless charging method of  claim 2 , wherein the allocating of the priorities comprises allocating the priorities to the one or more electronic devices limiting the wireless power supply based on battery states of the one or more electronic devices. 
     
     
         5 . The wireless charging method of  claim 2 , wherein the checking of whether the one or more electronic devices connect comprises checking whether the one or more electronic devices limiting the wireless power supply connect, based on the number of electronic devices to which wireless power is supplied by the wireless power transmitter or the sum of power capacities needed by the one or more electronic devices to which wireless power is supplied. 
     
     
         6 . The wireless charging method of  claim 1 , wherein the supplying of the wireless power comprises:
 checking a power capacity margin of the wireless power transmitter;   determining, based on the priorities, one or more electronic devices to which wireless power is supplied, when there is the power capacity margin; and   supplying wireless power to the determined one or more electronic devices.   
     
     
         7 . The wireless charging method of  claim 6 , wherein the checking of the power capacity margin comprises checking whether there is one or more electronic devices that are disconnected from the wireless power transmitter, among the one or more electronic devices to which wireless power is supplied. 
     
     
         8 . The wireless charging method of  claim 6 , wherein the checking of the power capacity margin comprises checking whether there is one or more electronic devices that will be switched to a charging standby state, based on battery states of the one or more electronic devices to which wireless power is supplied. 
     
     
         9 . The wireless charging method of  claim 6 , wherein the checking of the power capacity margin comprises checking whether there is one or more electronic devices that are switched to a constant voltage (CV) mode, among the one or more electronic devices to which power supply is supplied. 
     
     
         10 . A wireless power transmitter comprising:
 a power transmission unit configured to supply wireless power to one or more electronic devices;   a priority allocation module configured to allocate priorities to the one or more electronic devices that connect for wireless charging; and   a control module configured to supply wireless power to the one or more electronic devices through the power transmission unit based on the priorities.   
     
     
         11 . The wireless power transmitter of  claim 10 , wherein the priority allocation module is configured to allocate the priorities to the one or more electronic devices based on one or more of: a connection time, a battery state, or a wireless charging impedance of the one or more electronic devices. 
     
     
         12 . The wireless power transmitter of  claim 10 , wherein the priority allocation module is configured to allocate the one or more electronic devices that connect to exceed the rated power capacity of the wireless power transmitter. 
     
     
         13 . The wireless power transmitter of  claim 10 , wherein the control module is configured to supply wireless power to the one or more electronic devices through the power transmission unit based on the priorities, when it is determined that the wireless power transmitter has a margin power capacity. 
     
     
         14 . The wireless power transmitter of  claim 10 , further comprising a communication unit configured to transmit and receive a signal,
 wherein the control module is configured to transmit and receive a charging mode switch request signal to the one or more electronic devices to which wireless power is supplied, through the communication unit, when the priority allocation module allocates priorities to the one or more electronic devices.   
     
     
         15 . The wireless power transmitter of  claim 10 , wherein the power transmission unit is configured to supply wireless power to the one or more electronic devices by using any one of a resonance charging technique and a microwave radiation charging technique. 
     
     
         16 . An electronic device comprising:
 a battery configured to supply power to the electronic device;   a power reception unit configured to receive wireless power from a wireless power transmitter; and   a control module configured to be switched to a charging standby mode or a charging mode based on allocated priorities exceeding a rated power capacity of the wireless power transmitter.   
     
     
         17 . The electronic device of  claim 16 , wherein the control module is configured to be switched to the charging standby mode or the charging mode based on a state of the battery, when receiving a charging mode switch request signal from the wireless power transmitter. 
     
     
         18 . The electronic device of  claim 16 , wherein the control module is configured to be switched to the charging standby mode or the charging mode, when being switched to a constant voltage (CV) mode according to a state of the battery. 
     
     
         19 . The electronic device of  claim 16 , wherein the control module is configured to be switched to the charging standby mode or the charging mode based on priorities allocated from the wireless power transmitter according to a connection time of the wireless power transmitter. 
     
     
         20 . The electronic device of  claim 16 , wherein the power reception unit is configured to receive wireless power from the wireless power transmitter by using any one of wireless charging techniques comprising a resonance type and a microwave radiation type.
