Trading Card Game Method of Play

Abstract

Trading card game and methods of play. A trading card game consisting of reserve of trading cards or a deck. Each card consists of an identical back surface and a face surface with different content thereon. The deck is comprised of four different types of trading cards: character ( 1 ), event ( 13 ) item ( 18 ), and relic ( 24 ) cards. Each type of trading card has a different unique playing ability. The goal of the game is to reduce the life points of your opponent to zero. In this game of strategy and chance, the players will construct a playing deck from a reserve of trading cards and will compete with other players using their reserve of cards or deck. The trading card game utilizes multi-purpose character cards ( 1 ) to bring into play the different cards needed to play the game and allow the player to reduce his/her opponent's life points to zero. The reserve of trading cards or deck that the player utilizes must conform to the unique rules of the game so as to ensure fair and balanced play between competitors of different levels and experience.

The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows: 
     
         1 . A trading card game kit for use by at least two players, comprising:
 deck comprising of a plurality of collectible trading cards, wherein each trading card comprises of a back and front surface, wherein each front surface consists different content and wherein each back surface is identical for each plurality of trading cards, and containing a list of instructions on executing all phases of the trading card game.   
     
     
         2 . The trading card game kit of  claim 1 , further comprising of the trading cards that fall into different trading card category types. 
     
     
         3 . The trading card game kit of  claim 2 , wherein the trading card categories that comprise the trading card game kit are character cards, event cards, item cards, and relic cards. 
     
     
         4 . The trading card game kit of  claim 2 , wherein each type of trading has a different ability that alters the game. 
     
     
         5 . The trading card game kit of  claim 1 , further comprising of a set of instructions which affects the manner in which the trading card game is played. 
     
     
         6 . The trading card game kit of  claim 5 , wherein the instructions place a restriction and/or sets forth rules which ensure fair and equal game play between the two players. 
     
     
         7 . The trading card game kit of  claim 6 , wherein the rules governing the trading card game create a balanced environment where the players engaged in the trading card game can be of differing level and skill. 
     
     
         8 . A method of playing a trading card game, comprising of:
 deck comprising of a plurality of collectible trading cards, wherein each trading card comprises of a back and front surface, wherein each front surface consists different content and wherein each back surface is identical for each plurality of trading cards, and containing a list of instructions on executing all phases of the trading card game;   each player construct a reserve of trading cards or deck, wherein the constructed deck is in compliance with the rules of the game governing the plurality of cards used to construct the reserve of trading cards or deck;   at the start of the game, each player draws a predetermined number of cards from his/her reserve of trading cards or deck;   each player engaged in attacking phases with his/her opponent until the trading card game concludes when the player's life points has been reduced to 0 and in accordance with the rule of the game.   
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 8 , further comprising of a plurality of trading cards from different categories, where each trading card category provides a different abilities and functionality to the trading card game. 
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 9 , wherein the abilities and functionalities of the different trading card categories can alter a player's strategy and game play. 
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 9 , wherein the method of play focuses on the use of a multi-purpose character card to complete the objectives of the trading card game. 
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the character cards are utilized to play the other trading game cards onto the battlefield for use against the player's opponent. 
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the character cards can be rallied to bring higher star level character cards onto the battlefield. 
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the character cards can be used to pay the cost of item card which is used to equip another character card on the battlefield. 
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the character cards can be used to pay the cost to place relic cards onto the battlefield. 
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the character cards can be used to pay the cost to play an event card. 
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the character card has an ability that can impact game play. 
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein each character card has a life value and a power value, which impacts the ability of the character card to attack or defend. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 11 , where in like character cards can be used to attack an opponent. 
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the character cards can be used to defend against an opponent's attack. 
     
     
         21 . The method of  claim 18 , wherein only one character card may be used to defend against an opponent's attacking character card. 
     
     
         22 . The method of  claim 14 , wherein paid for item card is equipped to the designated character card and alters life value and power value of the character card. 
     
     
         23 . The method claim of  16 , wherein the paid for event card which may alter the game play. 
     
     
         24 . The method claim of  15 , wherein the paid for relic card can be used to further the objective of the trading card game. 
     
     
         25 . The method claim of  8 , wherein the players engage in a plurality of turns until one player's life total reaches 0.
