The body is configured with an aperture sized to surround the sink and shield a user from contact with the surrounding surface and the surrounding surface from a communication of liquid from use of the sink. The cover may be modular and formed of multiple components in removable engagements, or may be configured of a sheet of material which has removable portions to allow customization for positioning to an as used position surrounding the sink.

Claims

What is claimed is:

1 . An cover for covering a surrounding surface adjacent a sink, comprising:
a body configurable to an as-used configuration from a plurality of engageable body components; said components being flexible material with each having a first surface and a second surface opposite said first surface; said components including a first side portion extending from a distal edge to a connecting edge; a second side portion extending from a second distal edge to a second connecting edge; said first side portion an said second side portion being positioned on opposing sides of said sink with said body in said as-used configuration; a first central section, said first central section extending between a first connective edge and a second connective edge; said first connective edge of said central section configured with complimentary fabric fastening material to that positioned on said connecting edge of said first side portion, to form a first removable engagement thereto; said second connective edge of said central section configured with complimentary fabric fastening material to that positioned on said second connecting edge of said second side portion to form a second removable engagement thereto; and a second central section extending between opposing side edges, said opposing side edges each having said complimentary fabric fastening material thereon to that positioned on a respective said first connecting edge of said first side portion and said second connecting edge on said second side portion to form respective third and fourth removable engagements therebetween.

2 . The cover apparatus of claim 1 , additionally comprising:
said fabric fastening material forming said first, second, third, and fourth removable engagements, engaged to said body components in a wrap-around engagement; said wrap around engagement forming respective fabric hinges at each of said first, second, third, and fourth removable engagements; said first side portion being rotatable at said formed fabric hinges to move from said as-used position to a folded position of said body, where said first surface of said first side portion, is adjacent said second surface of both said first and said second central sections; said second side portion being rotatable in a first direction at said formed fabric hinges to said folded position of said body, wherein said first surface of said second side portion is adjacent either said first side portion, or, said first surface of both said first central section and said second central section; and said first side portion and said second side portion being rotatable in a second position at said formed fabric hinges, from said folded position of said body to said as-used position of said body; and said first side portion and said second side portion maintaining said removable attachments to said first central portion and said second central portion whether said body is in said as-used position, said folded position, or in-between.
