. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising verifying the consumer account information including at least one of a personal identification number (PIN) and a challenge question.

. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein receiving a device identifier associated with the consumer mobile device comprises receiving a device identifier that is unique to the consumer mobile device.

. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein receiving a device identifier associated with the consumer mobile device comprises receiving the consumer alias associated with the consumer mobile device.

. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting an authorization request response to the merchant as a notification message.

. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein receiving the transaction amount comprises receiving the transaction amount by the payment processing computing device after the consumer enters the transaction amount into the consumer mobile device and verifies that the transaction amount is accurate.

. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein receiving the transaction amount comprises receiving the transaction amount by the payment processing computing device after the transaction amount is entered into the consumer mobile device, wherein the consumer mobile device is configured to scan an image of the transaction amount and convert the image into machine-encoded text.

. The computer-implemented method of claim 7 , further comprising converting, by the consumer mobile device, the scanned image using optical character recognition.

. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein receiving the merchant identifier comprises receiving the merchant identifier by the payment processing computing device after the merchant identifier is entered into the consumer mobile device.

. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein receiving the merchant identifier comprises receiving the merchant identifier by the payment processing computing device after the merchant identifier is captured by the consumer mobile device, wherein the merchant identifier is included within at least one of a bar code, and a QR code, and wherein the consumer mobile device is configured to read at least one of a bar code, and a QR code.

. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein receiving the merchant identifier comprises receiving the merchant identifier by the payment processing computing device after the merchant identifier is captured by the consumer mobile device by scanning an image of the merchant identifier and converting the image into machine-encoded text.

. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein receiving the merchant identifier comprises receiving the merchant identifier by the payment processing computing device after the consumer mobile device determines the merchant identifier using geo-location.

. A computer-implemented method for processing a transaction between a consumer and a merchant using a consumer mobile device, the consumer mobile device in communication with a payment processing computing device, the payment processing computing device having a memory, said method comprising:
acquiring a price for a transaction between the consumer and the merchant using the consumer mobile device; acquiring merchant data associated with the merchant using the consumer mobile device; transmitting a device identifier associated with the consumer mobile device, the acquired price, and the merchant data in a transaction request message to the payment processing computing device; and receiving, by the consumer mobile device, a transaction authorization message from an issuer bank through a payment network, the transaction authorization message including an indication of approval or denial of the transaction request message.

. The method of claim 13 , wherein acquiring merchant data associated with the merchant using the consumer mobile device comprises acquiring a geolocation of the merchant using the consumer mobile device

. The method of claim 13 , wherein acquiring a price comprises acquiring an image of the price using the consumer mobile device.

. The method of claim 13 , wherein acquiring merchant data comprises acquiring at least one of an image of an optically recognizable code encoded with the merchant and a geolocation of the merchant using the consumer mobile device.
