Interference mitigation in heterogeneous wireless communication networks
Abstract
A method in a wireless terminal transceiver includes receiving a sequence of frames from a first base station, wherein each frame in the sequence contains a first set of time-frequency resources which may be used for scheduling data and a second set of time-frequency resources not used for scheduling data. The transceiver also receives a message from the first base station identifying a third set of time-frequency resources that is a subset of the first set of time-frequency resources, and estimates the channel state based on the transmission received in the third set of time-frequency resources.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 .- 30 . (canceled)
31 . A method in a wireless communication entity, the method comprising:
receiving, at the entity, an identifier of a first base station; determining a first set of time frequency resources as a function of the identifier of the first base station, wherein a neighbor base station of the first base station transmits or receives on a second set of time frequency resources, the second set of time frequency resources based on the neighbor cell's identifier; and transmitting or receiving on time frequency resources that do not overlap the first set of time frequency resources determined based on the identifier of first the base station.
32 . The method according to claim 31 wherein determining the first set of time frequency resources includes:
applying a function mapping one or more parameters to a set of time frequency resources, one of the one or more parameters being the identifier of the first base station; and
determining, as a result of applying the function, a set of time frequency resources corresponding to the identifier of the first base station.
33 . The method according to claim 31 wherein transmitting or receiving on time frequency resources that do not overlap the first set of time frequency resources determined based on the identifier of the first base station includes:
determining the time frequency resources corresponding to a serving base station that overlap at least in part with the time frequency resources determined as a function of the identifier of the first base station; and
transmitting information to or receiving information on time frequency resources that do not include the time frequency resources corresponding to the serving base station that overlap at least in part with the time frequency resources determined as a function of the identifier of the first base station.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
