Abstract

The present invention provides compositions comprising sugar, cysteine, and/or sugar-cysteine products, methods of preparing the same, and/or using the same.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A composition comprising a comprising RibCys, ribose, caffeine, and one or more of the following: vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, folic acid, panthothenic acid, biotin, chromium, magnesium, copper gluconate, quercetin, CoQ10,  ginseng , and  rhodiola rosea.   
     
     
         2 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the composition is a powdered composition. 
     
     
         3 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the composition is a beverage or a foodstuff. 
     
     
         4 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the composition comprises vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, folic acid, panthothenic acid, biotin, chromium, magnesium, copper gluconate, quercetin, CoQ10,  ginseng , and  rhodiola rosea.   
     
     
         5 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the caffeine is present in a green tea extract. 
     
     
         6 . A solution comprising a composition of  claim 1 . 
     
     
         7 . A solution comprising a composition of  claim 4 . 
     
     
         8 . A method of preparing an aqueous composition, the method comprising contacting RibCys, ribose, caffeine, and one or more of the following: vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, folic acid, panthothenic acid, biotin, chromium, magnesium, copper gluconate, quercetin, CoQ10,  ginseng , and  rhodiola rosea  under conditions sufficient to dissolve the RibCys, ribose, caffeine, and one or more of the following: vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, folic acid, panthothenic acid, biotin, chromium, magnesium, copper gluconate, quercetin, CoQ10,  ginseng , and  rhodiola rosea.   
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 8  further comprising contacting the water with vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, folic acid, panthothenic acid, biotin, chromium, magnesium, copper gluconate, quercetin, CoQ10,  ginseng , and  rhodiola rosea.   
     
     
         10 . A method of delivering a composition comprising RibCys, ribose, caffeine, and one or more of the following: vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, folic acid, panthothenic acid, biotin, chromium, magnesium, copper gluconate, quercetin, CoQ10,  ginseng , and  rhodiola rosea  to an animal comprising administering the composition to the animal. 
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 10  wherein the method comprises the animal eating or drinking the composition. 
     
     
         12 . A method of increasing ATP and/or glutathione in an animal comprising administering to the animal an effective amount of a composition of  claim 1 .
