Abstract
The invention relates to oral smokeless tobacco products and oral smokeless non-tobacco snuff products comprising carbamide or carbamide salt(s). Moreover, use of carbamide or carbamide salt(s) in the manufacturing of an oral smokeless tobacco products or oral smokeless non-tobacco snuff product is disclosed.

An oral smokeless tobacco product, comprising tobacco and carbamide, wherein said oral smokeless tobacco product is in a smokeless form selected from the group consisting of moist snuff, snus, a chewing tobacco product, oral dry snuff, and hard snuff, and wherein the amount of carbamide present in the oral smokeless tobacco product is sufficient to increase the pH in the mouth of a user upon use.
3 . The oral smokeless non-tobacco product according to claim 2 , wherein the carbamide is present in an amount of from 0.1 mg/g to 200 mg/g of the final product.
4 . The oral smokeless non-tobacco product according to claim 2 , wherein the carbamide is present in an amount of from 0.5 to 60 mg/g of the final product.
5 . The oral smokeless non-tobacco product according to claim 2 , wherein the carbamide is present in an amount of from 2.5 to 20 mg/g of the final product.

An oral smokeless non-tobacco product, comprising plant materials consisting of non-tobacco materials and carbamide, wherein said oral smokeless non-tobacco product is in a smokeless form selected from the group consisting of moist snuff, snus, a chewing tobacco substitute product, oral dry snuff, and hard snuff, and wherein the amount of carbamide present in the oral smokeless non-tobacco product is sufficient to increase the pH in the mouth of a user upon use.
7 . The oral smokeless non-tobacco product according to claim 6 , wherein the carbamide portion of the carbamide salt is present in an amount of from 0.1 mg/g to 200 mg/g of the final product.
8 . The oral smokeless non-tobacco product according to claim 6 , wherein the carbamide portion of the carbamide salt is present in an amount of from 0.5 to 60 mg/g of the final product.
9 . The oral smokeless non-tobacco product according to claim 6 , wherein the carbamide portion of the carbamide salt is present in an amount of from 2.5 to 20 mg/g of the final product.
10 . The oral smokeless non-tobacco product according to claim 6 , wherein the non-tobacco materials are selected from the group consisting of oat fibers, apple fibers, sugar beet fibers, potato fibers, corn fibers, buckwheat fibers, cocoa fibers, and cellulose fibers.
11 . A method of increasing the pH in the mouth of a user upon use of an oral smokeless tobacco product, the method comprising:
manufacturing an oral smokeless tobacco product, wherein the final form of the oral smokeless tobacco product is selected from the group consisting of moist snuff, snus, a chewing tobacco product, oral dry snuff, and hard snuff; adding carbamide to the oral smokeless tobacco product, wherein the carbamide is added at any time during the manufacture of the smokeless tobacco product, and wherein the amount of carbamide added in the oral smokeless tobacco product is sufficient to increase the pH in the mouth of a user upon use of the final oral smokeless tobacco product; and providing the final oral smokeless tobacco product for use, wherein the carbamide added to the oral smokeless tobacco product increases the pH in the mouth of a user upon use of the final oral smokeless tobacco product.
12 . A method of selecting an oral smokeless tobacco product to receive an agent that increases pH in the mouth of a user upon use of the oral smokeless tobacco product, the method comprising:
selecting an oral smokeless tobacco product to receive an agent that increases pH in the mouth of a user upon use of the oral smokeless tobacco product; manufacturing the oral smokeless tobacco product, wherein the final form of the oral smokeless tobacco product is selected from the group consisting of moist snuff, snus, a chewing tobacco product, oral dry snuff, and hard snuff, wherein the agent is added during manufacture, and wherein the agent is carbamide; and providing the final oral smokeless tobacco product for use, wherein the carbamide added to the oral smokeless tobacco product increases the pH in the mouth of a user upon use of the final oral smokeless tobacco product.
13 . A method of increasing the pH in the mouth of a user upon use of an oral smokeless non-tobacco product, the method comprising:
manufacturing an oral smokeless non-tobacco product, wherein the oral smokeless non-tobacco product comprises plant materials consisting of non-tobacco materials, and wherein the final form of the oral smokeless non-tobacco product is selected from the group consisting of moist snuff, snus, a chewing tobacco substitute product, oral dry snuff, and hard snuff; adding carbamide to the oral smokeless non-tobacco product, wherein the carbamide is added at any time during the manufacture of the smokeless non-tobacco product, and wherein the amount of carbamide added in the oral smokeless non-tobacco product is sufficient to increase the pH in the mouth of a user upon use of the final oral smokeless non-tobacco product; and providing the final oral smokeless non-tobacco product for use, wherein the carbamide added to the oral smokeless non-tobacco product increases the pH in the mouth of a user upon use of the final oral smokeless non-tobacco product.
14 . A method of selecting an oral smokeless non-tobacco product to receive an agent that increases pH in the mouth of a user upon use of the oral non-smokeless tobacco product, the method comprising:
selecting an oral smokeless non-tobacco product to receive an agent that increases pH in the mouth of a user upon use of the oral smokeless non-tobacco product; manufacturing the oral smokeless non-tobacco product, wherein the oral smokeless non-tobacco product comprises plant materials consisting of non-tobacco materials, and wherein the final form of the oral smokeless non-tobacco product is selected from the group consisting of moist snuff, snus, a chewing tobacco substitute product, oral dry snuff, and hard snuff, wherein the agent is added during manufacture, and wherein the agent is carbamide; and providing the final oral smokeless non-tobacco product for use, wherein the carbamide added to the oral smokeless non-tobacco product increases the pH in the mouth of a user upon use of the final oral smokeless non-tobacco product.
15 . An oral smokeless non-tobacco product comprising plant materials and carbamide,
wherein the plant materials are one or more plant materials selected from the group consisting of oat fibers, apple fibers, sugar beet fibers, potato fibers, corn fibers, buckwheat fibers, cocoa fibers, and cellulose fibers, and wherein the oral smokeless non-tobacco product is in a smokeless form selected from the group consisting of moist snuff, snus, a chewing tobacco substitute product, oral dry snuff, and hard snuff.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
