Display ads for door handles providing multisensory stimuli

Abstract

A display ad system for door handles may include electronics that provide multisensory stimuli. In one embodiment, an end cap includes light and sound triggered by a motion detector. In another embodiment, an end cap includes fan-directed aromas triggered by a motion detector. In a third embodiment, a flexible grid of LED lights backlights the display ad in any time sequence desired, and may be motion-triggered as well. A door handle embodiment may also provide a note board surface as an alternative to showing display ads.

I claim: 
     
         1 . A multi-bended clip for attaching a display advertisement accessory to a door handle comprising:
 a clip aperture having a diameter sufficient for a bolt to pass through;   a curved length extending away from the clip aperture;   one side of the clip contacting the display advertisement accessory and another side contacting the door handle;   wherein a pair of nuts are positioned along a shaft of the bolt compressing the accessory against the door handle along the curved length of the multi-bended clip.   
     
     
         2 . The multi-bended clip of  claim 1 , wherein the door handle is a full-length door handle. 
     
     
         3 . The multi-bended clip of  claim 1 , wherein the door handle is a cooler door handle. 
     
     
         4 . The multi-bended clip of  claim 1 , wherein the multi-bended clip conforms to door handles and doors having various sizes, shapes and surface topographies. 
     
     
         5 . The multi-bended clip of  claim 1 , wherein the multi-bended clip is made of aluminum. 
     
     
         6 . The multi-bended clip of  claim 1 , wherein the multi-bended clip is made of spring steel. 
     
     
         7 . The multi-bended clip of  claim 1 , the multi-bended clip having a virtual depth sufficient to conform with the shape of the display advertisement accessory. 
     
     
         8 . The multi-bended clip of  claim 1 , wherein the multi-bended clip further comprises at least one apex and at least one vale, wherein the at least one apex and at least one vale are rounded to accommodate for the various curvatures of door handles to which the clip is affixed. 
     
     
         9 . The multi-bended clip of  claim 8 , wherein a cavity of one of the at least one apex houses an end of a handle when the system is installed. 
     
     
         10 . The multi-bended clip of  claim 8 , wherein a tip of the at least one vale is tightened against the curved door handle when the system is installed. 
     
     
         11 . A method comprising: attaching a display ad panel to a full-length door handle. 
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 11  comprising the steps of: assembling a clip onto a display advertising accessory wherein during the assembly the clip simultaneously compresses the accessory into a portion of the door handle. 
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 12  wherein the clip has at least one bend along a length, the bend including an apex, wherein the apex touches against the door handle to cause the compression. 
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 11 , the display ad panel comprising:
 a display assembly surface comprising opposing lip flanges, for receiving a display advertisement insert;   a top end cap and a bottom end cap that cooperates with the lip flanges to contain said insert along the surface; and   a logo supplied by any known means on the surface of the end cap proximal to the consumer.   
     
     
         15 . A method comprising: attaching a display ad panel to a less-than-full-length door handle, comprising the steps of: assembling a clip onto a display advertising accessory wherein during the assembly the clip simultaneously compresses the accessory into a portion of the door handle.
