Abstract
Provided is a method and a GUI-based software application that acts as a wallet with network interconnectivity for enabling a user to securely and seamlessly conduct transactions with his or her online financial transaction program by means of a computer or a wireless handheld device without having to depend on an Internet browser.

1 . A transaction information provisioning system, comprising:
a wireless user device; and a communication engine that is located in the wireless user device and that:
receives login information;
sends the login information over a network; and
receives a plurality of funding source information through the network in response to sending the login information, wherein the plurality of funding source information is associated with a plurality of different funding sources; and
wherein the wireless user device renders a graphical user interface (GUI) wallet for display that includes a plurality of funding source elements that are each associated with a respective one of the plurality of different funding sources and that are each selectable to automatically retrieve respective funding source information for the respective funding source associated with that funding source element and automatically populate a funding source field in a merchant checkout system with the respective funding source information.
2 . The transaction information provisioning system of claim 1 , wherein the GUI wallet includes a first funding source element that is associated with a first funding source of the plurality of different funding sources and that is selectable to automatically retrieve first funding source information for the first funding source and automatically populate a first funding source field in a first merchant checkout system with the first funding source information, and wherein the GUI wallet includes a second funding source element that is associated with a second funding source of the plurality of different funding sources that is different than the first funding source and that is selectable to automatically retrieve second funding source information for the second funding source and automatically populate a second funding source field in a second merchant checkout system that is different than the first merchant checkout system with the second funding source information.
3 . The transaction information provisioning system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of funding sources include a credit funding source and a debit funding source.
4 . The transaction information provisioning system of claim 1 , further comprising:
the communication engine that receives a plurality of address information through the network in response to sending the login information, wherein the plurality of address information is associated with a plurality of different addresses; and wherein the wireless user device renders the GUI wallet for display that includes a plurality of address elements that are each associated with a respective one of the plurality of different addresses and that are each selectable to automatically retrieve respective address information for the respective address associated with that address element and automatically populate an address field in the merchant checkout system with the respective address information.

The transaction information provisioning system of claim 4 , wherein the GUI wallet includes a first address element that is associated with a first address of the plurality of different addresses and that is selectable to automatically retrieve first address information for the first address and automatically populate a first address field in a first merchant checkout system with the first address information, and wherein the GUI wallet includes a second address element that is associated with a second address of the plurality of different addresses that is different than the first address and that is selectable to automatically retrieve second address information for the second address and automatically populate a second address field in a second merchant checkout system that is different than the first merchant checkout system with the second address information.
6 . The transaction information provisioning system of claim 1 , further comprising:
the communication engine that receives a plurality of discount information through the network in response to sending the login information, wherein the plurality of discount information is associated with a plurality of different discounts; and wherein the wireless user device renders the GUI wallet for display that includes a plurality of discount elements that are each associated with a respective one of the plurality of different discounts and that are each selectable to automatically retrieve respective discount information for the respective discount associated with that discount element and automatically populate a discount field in the merchant checkout system with the respective discount information.

The transaction information provisioning system of claim 7 , wherein the GUI wallet includes a first discount element that is associated with a first discount of the plurality of different discounts and that is selectable to automatically retrieve first discount information for the first discount and automatically populate a first discount field in a first merchant checkout system with the first discount information, and wherein the GUI wallet includes a second discount element that is associated with a second discount of the plurality of different discounts that is different than the first discount and that is selectable to automatically retrieve second discount information for the second discount and automatically populate a second discount field in a second merchant checkout system that is different than the first merchant checkout system with the second discount information.
8 . A method for providing transaction information, comprising:
receiving, by a communication engine that is located in a user device, login information; sending, by the communication engine, the login information over a network; receiving, by the communication engine, a plurality of address information through the network in response to sending the login information, wherein the plurality of address information is associated with a plurality of different addresses; and rendering, by the user device, a graphical user interface (GUI) wallet for display that includes a plurality of address elements that are each associated with a respective one of the plurality of different addresses, wherein a selection of one of the plurality of address elements results in an automatic retrieval of respective address information for the respective address associated with that address element and an automatic populating of an address field in a merchant checkout system with the respective address information.
9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein:
a selection of a first address element of the plurality of address elements results in an automatic retrieval of first address information for a first address associated with the first address element and an automatic populating of a first address field in a first merchant checkout system with the first address information; and a selection of a second address element of the plurality of address elements results in an automatic retrieval of second address information for a second address that is associated with the second address element and that is different than the first address, and an automatic populating of a second address field in a second merchant checkout system that is different than the first merchant checkout system with the second address information.
10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the plurality of addresses include a billing address of the user and a shipping address of the user.
11 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
receiving, by the communication engine, a plurality of funding source information through the network in response to sending the login information, wherein the plurality of funding source information is associated with a plurality of different funding sources; and rendering, by the user device, the GUI wallet for display that includes a plurality of funding source elements that are each associated with a respective one of the plurality of funding sources, wherein a selection of one of the plurality of funding source elements results in an automatic retrieval of respective funding source information for the respective funding source associated with that funding source element and an automatic populating of a funding source field in a merchant checkout system with the respective funding source information.
12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein:
a selection of a first funding source element of the plurality of funding source elements results in an automatic retrieval of first funding source information for a first funding source associated with the first funding source element and an automatic populating of a first funding source field in a first merchant checkout system with the first funding source information; and a selection of a second funding source element of the plurality of funding source elements results in an automatic retrieval of second funding source information for a second funding source that is associated with the second funding source element and that is different than the first funding source, and an automatic populating of a second funding source field in a second merchant checkout system that is different than the first merchant checkout system with the second funding source information.
13 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
receiving, by the communication engine, a plurality of discount information through the network in response to sending the login information, wherein the plurality of discount information is associated with a plurality of different discounts; and rendering, by the user device, the GUI wallet for display that includes a plurality of discount elements that are each associated with a respective one of the plurality of discounts, wherein a selection of one of the plurality of discount elements results in an automatic retrieval of respective discount information for the respective discount associated with that discount element and an automatic populating of a discount field in a merchant checkout system with the respective discount information.
14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein:
a selection of a first discount element of the plurality of discount elements results in an automatic retrieval of first discount information for a first discount associated with the first discount element and an automatic populating of a first discount field in a first merchant checkout system with the first discount information; and a selection of a second discount element of the plurality of discount elements results in an automatic retrieval of second discount information for a second discount that is associated with the second discount element and that is different than the first discount, and an automatic populating of a second discount field in a second merchant checkout system that is different than the first merchant checkout system with the second discount information.
15 . A non-transitory, machine-readable medium comprising a plurality of machine-readable instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, are configured to cause the one or more processors to perform a method comprising:
providing a communication engine that:
receives login information;
sends the login information over a network; and
receives a plurality of discount information through the network in response to sending the login information, wherein the plurality of discount information is associated with a plurality of different discounts; and
rendering a graphical user interface (GUI) wallet for display that includes a plurality of discount elements that are each associated with a respective one of the plurality of different discounts, wherein a selection of one of the plurality of discount elements results in an automatic retrieval of respective discount information for the respective discount associated with that discount element and an automatic provision of the respective discount information to an electronic transaction system to satisfy a discount information request.
16 . The machine-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein:
a selection of a first discount element of the plurality of discount elements results in an automatic retrieval of first discount information for a first discount and an automatic providing of the first discount information to a first electronic transaction system to satisfy a first discount information request; and a selection of a second discount element of the plurality of discount elements results in an automatic retrieval of second discount information for a second discount that is different than the first discount and an automatic provision of the second discount information to a second electronic transaction system that is different than the first electronic transaction system to satisfy a second discount information request.
17 . The machine-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the plurality of machine-readable instructions are configured to cause the one or more processors to perform the method further comprising:
providing the communication engine that:
receives a plurality of funding source information through the network in response to sending the login information, wherein the plurality of funding source information is associated with a plurality of different funding sources; and
rendering the GUI wallet for display that includes a plurality of funding source elements that are each associated with a respective one of the plurality of different funding sources, wherein a selection of one of the plurality of funding source elements results in an automatic retrieval of respective funding source information for the respective funding source associated with that funding source element and an automatic provision of the respective funding source information to an electronic transaction system to satisfy a funding source information request.
18 . The machine-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein:
a selection of a first funding source element of the plurality of funding source elements results in an automatic retrieval of first funding source information for a first funding source and an automatic provision of the first funding source information to a first electronic transaction system to satisfy a first funding source information request; and a selection of a second funding source element of the plurality of funding source elements results in an automatic retrieval of second funding source information for a second funding source that is different than the first funding source and an automatic provision of the second funding source information to a second electronic transaction system that is different than the first electronic transaction system to satisfy a second funding source information request.
19 . The machine-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the plurality of machine-readable instructions are configured to cause the one or more processors to perform the method further comprising:
providing the communication engine that:
receives a plurality of address information through the network in response to sending the login information, wherein the plurality of address information is associated with a plurality of different addresses; and
rendering the GUI wallet for display that includes a plurality of address elements that are each associated with a respective one of the plurality of different addresses, wherein a selection of one of the plurality of address elements results in an automatic retrieval of respective address information for the respective address associated with that address element and an automatic provision of the respective address information to an electronic transaction system to satisfy an address information request.
20 . The machine-readable medium of claim 19 , wherein:
