Abstract

A display system that presents three-dimensional content to a viewer is described herein. The display system includes a screen assembly having one or more adaptable display characteristics relating to the presentation of three-dimensional content, first circuitry that at least assists in producing reference information corresponding to at least one aspect of a viewing reference of the viewer, and second circuitry that causes modification of at least one of the one or more adaptable display characteristics, the modification corresponding at least in part to the reference information. The viewing reference of the viewer may comprise one or more of a location of the viewer relative to the screen assembly, a head orientation (tilt and/or rotation) of the viewer, and a point of gaze of the viewer. The first circuitry may comprise, e.g., viewer-located circuitry and/or other circuitry that is communicatively connected to the second circuitry for providing the referencing information thereto.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A display system that presents three-dimensional content to a viewer, the viewer having a viewing reference, the display system comprising:
a screen assembly having one or more adaptable display characteristics relating to the presentation of the three-dimensional content; first circuitry that at least assists in producing reference information corresponding to at least one aspect of the viewing reference of the viewer that includes a head orientation of the viewer; and second circuitry causing modification of at least one of the one or more adaptable display characteristics, the modification corresponding at least in part to the reference information.

2 . The display system of claim 1 , further comprising third circuitry that produces wireless output.

3 . The display system of claim 2 , wherein the wireless output by the third circuitry supports the production of the reference information.

4 . The display system of claim 2 , further comprising fourth circuitry that receives the wireless output.

5 . The display system of claim 1 , further comprising third circuitry that captures images, the images being used to support the production of the reference information.

6 . The display system of claim 1 , wherein the first circuitry comprises user-wearable circuitry.

7 . The display system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one aspect also includes a point of gaze of the viewer.

8 . A method in a display system for presenting three-dimensional content to a viewer, the viewer having a viewing reference, the method comprising:
assisting, by first circuitry of the display system, in producing reference information corresponding to at least one aspect of the viewing reference of the viewer that includes a head orientation of the viewer; and causing, by second circuitry of the display system, a modification of at least one of the one or more adaptable display characteristics, the modification corresponding at least in part to the reference information.

         9 . The method claim 8 , further comprising:
producing wireless output by third circuitry of the display system.

10 . The method claim 9 , wherein producing the wireless output includes producing the wireless output to support the production of the reference information.

         11 . The method claim 9 , further comprising:
receiving the wireless output by fourth circuitry of the display system.

12 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
capturing images used to support the production of the reference information by third circuitry of the display system.

13 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the first circuitry comprises user-wearable circuitry.

14 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the at least one aspect also includes a point of gaze of the viewer.

         15 . A method comprising:
delivering first audio content to first viewer-located circuitry carried by a first viewer of a display capable of simultaneously presenting first video content to the first viewer and second video content to a second viewer, the first audio content being associated with the first video content; and simultaneously delivering second audio content to second viewer-located circuitry carried by the second viewer of the display, the second audio content being associated with the second video content.

16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the first video content comprises a first two-dimensional video presentation and the second video content comprises a second two-dimensional video presentation.

17 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the first video content comprises a first three-dimensional video presentation and the second video content comprises a second three-dimensional video presentation.

18 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the first viewer-located circuitry comprises first user-wearable circuitry, and wherein the second viewer-located circuitry comprises second user-wearable circuitry

19 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the first viewer-located circuitry is configured to perform a first customization for a first audio setting associated with the first audio content, and
wherein the second viewer-located circuitry is configured to perform a second customization for a second audio setting associated with the second audio content.

20 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the display is a single display.
