Shipping container reuse recommendation system
Abstract
A shipping container reuse recommendation system receives an identifier of a shipping container. An online marketplace interface module associates the identifier of the shipping container with a first transaction. A transaction analysis engine determines a number of transactions associated with the identifier. A transaction detection engine detects a second transaction where a buyer identified in the first transaction is identified as a seller in the second transaction. A reuse recommendation engine generates a recommendation to reuse the shipping container for the second transaction based on a number of prior uses of the shipping container.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A system, comprising:
a shipping container identifier module configured to receive an identifier of a shipping container; an online marketplace interface module configured to associate the identifier of the shipping container with a first transaction; a transaction analysis engine configured to determine a number of transactions associated with the identifier; a transaction detection engine configured to detect a second transaction where a buyer identified in the first transaction is identified as a seller in the second transaction; and a reuse recommendation engine comprising a hardware processor and configured to generate a recommendation to reuse the shipping container for the second transaction based on a number of prior uses of the shipping container.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the number of prior uses of the shipping container is based on the number of transactions associated with the identifier of the shipping container.
3 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the number transactions includes a number of shipping transactions associated with the identifier of the shipping container.
4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the identifier of the shipping container includes a unique identifier to all shipping containers used in an online marketplace application.
5 . The system of claim 4 , wherein the transaction analysis engine is configured to determine the number of transactions associated with the unique identifier in the online marketplace application.
6 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising:
a storage device comprising a database of identifiers of shipping containers and corresponding transactions and tracking location histories, wherein the transaction and tracking location histories comprise a seller's information, a buyer's information, an item description, and a shipping information.
7 . The system of claim 6 , further comprising:
a tracking module configured to track a location of the shipping container based on the shipping information.
8 . The system of claim 6 , further comprising:
a shipping label module configured to generate a shipping label comprising the shipping information, the shipping label to be affixed on the shipping container; and a shipping carrier interface module configured to determine a location of the shipping container based on the shipping label.
9 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising:
a reminder module configured to generate and transmit a reminder to the seller in the second transaction to reuse the shipping container from the first transaction for the second transaction.
10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the reuse recommendation engine further comprises:
a fitting module configured to determine whether an item identified in the second transaction fits in the shipping container from the first transaction.
11 . A computer-implemented method comprising:
receiving an identifier of a shipping container; associating the identifier of the shipping container with a first transaction; determining a number of transactions associated with the identifier; detecting a second transaction where a buyer identified in the first transaction is identified as a seller in the second transaction; and generating, by a computer system, a recommendation to reuse the shipping container for the second transaction based on a number of prior uses of the shipping container.
12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the number of prior uses of the shipping container is based on the number of transactions associated with the identifier of the shipping container.
13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the number transactions includes a number of shipping transactions associated with the identifier of the shipping container.
14 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the identifier of the shipping container includes a unique identifier to all shipping containers used in an online marketplace application.
15 . The method of claim 14 , further comprising:
determining the number of transactions associated with the unique identifier in the online marketplace application.
16 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising:
storing in a storage device, a database of identifiers of shipping containers and corresponding transactions and tracking location histories, wherein the transaction and tracking location histories comprise a seller's information, a buyer's information, an item description, and a shipping information.
17 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising:
tracking a location of the shipping container based on the shipping information.
18 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising:
generating a shipping label comprising the shipping information, the shipping label to be affixed on the shipping container; and determining the location of the shipping container based on the shipping label.
19 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising:
determining whether an item identified in the second transaction fits in the shipping container from the first transaction; and in response to determining that the item identified in the second transaction fits in the shipping container from the first transaction, generating and transmitting a reminder to the seller in the second transaction to reuse the shipping container from the first transaction for the second transaction.
20 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a set of instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations, comprising:
receiving an identifier of a shipping container; associating the identifier of the shipping container with a first transaction; determining a number of transactions associated with the identifier; detecting a second transaction where a buyer identified in the first transaction is identified as a seller in the second transaction; and generating a recommendation to reuse the shipping container for the second transaction based on a number of prior uses of the shipping container.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
